Part 1/7 of The Stanly Hotel

A Week Later

I get a knock on my apartment door, knowing it will be Colby I grab my bags and keys. I have no idea what we are doing, Colby told me to clear my schedule and pack an overnight bag. I'm hopping it's a little couples get away somewhere for a few days, but this is Colby we're talking about so who knows. When I open the door I see Sam, so obviously not a couples get away unless Kat is in the car waiting
"Hey baby you ready?" Colby says standing next to Sam. I pout
"What's that face for?" Sam laughs
"I thought Colby had booked a romantic weekend away"
"Another weekend maybe come on we need to wait for Jake and Corey to arrive"
"Oh hell no. That means we're going somewhere haunted. You didn't let me prepare myself for this. Like shit guys I just found out a demon is haunting me and now you want me to go and get more haunted? I swear if you guys get me more haunted imma break up with Colby and steal Kat from you" we stand in silence for a few seconds before we all burst out into laughter
"Good one now come on" Colby takes my bag and we walk out, locking the door on the way. Colby takes my hand in his and we walk the very short distance to his apartment. We wait 10 minutes when Jake and Corey arrive
"We've gathered you here today for one reason and one reason only, we're going to the Stanley Hotel"
"Oh hell no" I stand up and cross my arms "I was looking forward to a weekend away with my boyfriend because our 3 year anniversary is literally tomorrow and then you drop this bombshell on me"
"When are we going?" Corey asks
"Tomorrow" Colby puts his hand on Corey as Corey shakes his head and Jake just looks confused
"You didn't tell them to pack did you?" I ask
"No because I know how long it takes you to pack" I roll my eyes smiling and sitting down on the couch
"So we're going to the place the shinning is based off of for our 3 year anniversary? This was your surprise?"
"I love you" Colby shrugs
"Que te den" (for fuck sake) I sigh
"Wait what? I love the shinning I'm so down this is gonna be sick" Jake smiles as if he's been told he's won a golden ticket to willy wonkers chocolate factory. Sam, Colby and Jake spend 5 minutes trying to convince Corey to come with us, to which he finally caves and agrees. Sam talks about how a lot of people have nightmares at the hotel and different stories about how haunted the hotel is. Sam then mentions that we have a psychic coming to speak to us to try and make sure we stay protected.

She walks in and Corey introduces himself
"Corey" they shake hands
"Hi I'm Nadia" she turns to me
"I'm Natalia nice to meet you" I shake her hand
"You too" she then turns Jake
"I'm Jake"
"Hi Jake" Jake gets out his little nest of blankets
"Have any of you ever been read by a psychic?" Sam asks
"I have a while ago"
"What did they tell you?"
"That I'd break up with my partner and I'd start to date my best friend. She said that he would be the love of my life" I smile as the boys all 'aww' at Colby and I
"I've been read a few times" Corey says nodding his head. We sit down on the couch me sitting in between Colby and Corey. The psychic starts reading our aura
"Is this going to be painful" Colby jokes
"Tremendously but your necklace looks painful" she joked back
"Oh yeah it is, I like pain"
"Your into pain, Talia care to comment?" Sam looks at me. I burry my face in my hands laughing
"Can we stop talking about this?" I say. We take deep breaths and she starts
"Ok so we are attracted to different coloured auras and you are wearing yellow which is the general colour I picked up for you" Nadia points to Sam "which is kind an adventurous leader kind of spirit. Which is fun, a lot of good things up ahead"
"That's good" Sam nods happy with what she said
"For you I'm getting blue" Nadia turns to Colby "blue is more of a creative spirit, loyal, sensitive and moody. Blue and yellows work well together so you two would be a good team" Sam and Colby look at each other and smile "ok for you I see pink" Nadia now points to me "pink means love, friendship and sincerity, however I also saw green being a strong aura for you as well which means healing, compassion, but also jealousy" I nod agreeing with her
"Talia that's you 100% your so compassionate, but a girl flirts with Colby damn your evil" I laugh at Sam
"I just like others to know what's mine" I say sweetly
"So you two are dating?" Nadia asks
"Yep 3 years tomorrow" Colby looks at me proud
"You two are definitely a good match. Just remember your both loyal to each other no matter what guy or girl walks into the others lives. When's the trip?"
"Tomorrow morning" Colby says
"Ok first of all let me just talk about your futures. So yours is fine" she points at Jake "yours is fine" she points at Sam "now you 3 have something going on "you and you" she points at me and Colby "you have something special coming up, it's ok to be nervous but it's something exciting. Also Natalia is likely to get jealous on this trip, so you just need to reassure her. Now you" she specifically points to me "you also have something that your going to share with him" she points at Corey. The lady continues to tell us about different things and ways to protect ourselves, one thing she told us was to wear the colour green. Colby asks to get his palm read
"I like the rings"
"Thank you. Talia got me that one for my birthday" Colby points to one of the rings on his hand
"I like the nail polish. It's very playful"
"It is very playful" I hear Sam zoom in the camera I look to see him pointing it at me. I roll my eyes
"You know your probably more of a romantic that either of you" Nadia says looking at Corey, Sam and Jake
"I mean he did this huge gesture when he asked me to be his girlfriend and he buys me flowers all the time"
"You've got a keeper" Nadia says "so this is your life line and it goes along here" she shows Colby with her finger "it branches of here. I don't know what that means" she starts laughing
"Oh great"
"Now can I take your hand?" Nadia asks and I nod my head "I see your nails match" making me laugh looking at my white acrylics and Colbys white nails
"Couples that paint their nails together stay together" Jake points at the camera
"You're saddened. You've got a secret that you haven't told everyone. Something that you want to share but it's to hard for you"
"Errm yeah. I've had some deaths in the family over the last year and one being very recently. These guys know about it all but I haven't told my viewers and fans about it"
"It might help you to talk about what happened"
Finally after a couple hours Nadia goes home. Everyone else goes back to their apartments while I stay at Colbys. We get into bed and fall asleep ready for the flight in the morning.
