CHAPTER ELEVEN
Green Hearts

Izuku immediately felt Todoroki-kun's presence the moment the alpha stepped out in the veranda. Izuku turned slightly and saw Todoroki-kun carrying two tea cups. Izuku's nose sniffed a little, he frowned, recognising the scent, following Todoroki-kun as he set the cups between them. "The twins helped me make this." he announced, sliding the nearest tea cup to Izuku.

Izuku eyed the cup, there's a thin apple slice on top and a cinnamon stick. "This is an apple cinnamon tea." Izuku stated, obviously.

Todoroki-kun scratched the back of his neck. "Well... you made tarragon and cacao tea by my scent, so I tried doing an apple cinnamon tea by yours in return." He said sheepishly, sitting on his chair.

Izuku eyed the alpha, studying him. There's a hint of red in his ears, his pheromones laced with guilt and embarrassment. Izuku's mind wandered through what happened today. And oh boy, how much he wanted to bend in half and melt on his spot.

Izuku feels like this is all his fault. It all started with him, afterall.

Earlier, when they are loading the family car of their bags, an omega - someone who hero Shoto had saved before- approached the alpha as he brings their bags to the car. It seems like the omega saw her hero on the way home. Meaning, she's in the same subdivision as the Todoroki family. So, the omega, Hana-san- Izuku heard her say, cheerfully thanked Todoroki-kun, clinging on the alpha, smiling widely at him. And Todoroki-kun, for the love of God, cannot shove the fan out of his way, much to Izuku's delight.

Izuku wanted to detach the omega himself but he cannot actually do that, can he? So, he stood there, watching, as hero Shoto gave fan service to the omega. And as if the omega is shitting with him, she glanced Izuku's way, giving the latter a very sweet smirk as she nuzzled on Todoroki-kun's shoulders, scenting the alpha in the process.

When she left and everyone was in their seats, Izuku wanted to growl so bad at Todoroki-kun. He wanted to scratch his shoulders too, so he could get rid of that omega's smell.

Just then, Izuku realised. He's jealous- that's why he wanted to rip that omega's smile as if ripping papers. He's fucking jealous. And as if the world is telling him he's fucked up, he saw the kids- Katsu, Kouri and Eri- peacefully sleeping on the back seat, and he realised that right , he can't like this alpha.

Izuku watched Todoroki-kun secretly, committing him to memory. This alpha would never look at him the way he's looking at him. This alpha would never consider Izuku as his kids' omega. Never. When , Izuku wondered. When did he start liking this man? He thought, this is just merely a crush. A feeling that will vanish after a few weeks. How come, it's still here, inside him? And more stronger than ever?

There's an ache in his heart, he wanted to be allowed to like Todoroki-kun. His hand itching, wanting to reach out, feel the alpha's warmth on his palm. His mind imagining the kisses- how their scent would be laced on each other. His omega wailing, imagining when they are Todoroki-kun's- full of the alpha's scent, littered by his bites. And oh God, imagine Izuku, big and happy, his stomach full of Todoroki-kun's pups.

Izuku whined, folding to himself, shielding him from Todoroki-kun.

"Thank you." He only answered, trying to erase his thoughts. He tried the tea, and smiled at the alpha. "It tastes wonderful." He honestly said.

Todoroki-kun smiled, taking a sip himself, before looking up at the night sky. Silence reigned between them for a while, both their calming pheromones lacing each other. "I'm sorry about earlier." Todoroki-kun started. "I really don't mean it that way." Todoroki-kun's eyes didn't leave the night sky, but Izuku felt the sincerity of the words without having to look at the alpha's bicolored eyes.
