Inko Midoriya POV

———————————————————————————————————

My best friend Mitsuki Bakugo was in the hospital delivering twins.  Her husband Masaru Bakugo was very timidly trying to encourage his hot headed wife.

"It's going to be ok honey you just have to—" Masaru quietly encourages his wife.

"I know I know but it fucking hurts." the blonde woman snaps at him.

I sigh shaking my head Mitsuki always had a short temper on a good now with the added stress of delivering two children into the world you could just breathe and she would blow up.

"Is there anything I could do for you Mitsuki?" I ask sympathetically.

"Not that I can think of— Oh my god the first one's coming." Mitsuki screamed the last part, her face in agony.

The nurse ushered us away from the bed, within a couple minutes Mitsuki is holding her first born a baby girl on her chest.   It took two more hours until Mitsuki was holding her second child on her chest.  Unlike the girl who was mainly quiet the boy was screaming his lungs out.

"Have you picked out names yet?" the nurse asks.

"Yes Katsuki for the boy and Katana for the girl." Mitsuki answers clearly exhausted.

"Excellent choices Win-myself and sword." I exclaim.

"We chose win-myself for the boy because it looks like he is going to have to fight a lot of attitude.  And Katana or sword of the girl in hopes she will be as strong, quick, and have a mind as sharp as a sword's blade." Masaru whispers.

Four years later Katana POV

"Alright children we are going to go get ready for snack please line up and get ready to wash your hands." Miss Tanaka one of our teachers calls.

I started to make my way over to my brother who was in the middle of the room staring down at his hands.

"Kacchan is something wrong?"  I ask concerned.

"My hands feel kinda funny." Katsuki whispers to me.

Suddenly his outstretched hands began to crackle and small explosions emitted from his hands.  The whole class gathered around with oooo's, wow's, and woah's.

"You're so lucky!" exclaims Izu-chan (Izuku).

"Impressive" Mr. Ito remarks "I bet that's going to grow into an amazing quirk."

"Definitely, a flashy quirk for a future hero." agrees Miss Tanaka.

I can almost see my younger brother's thoughts spiraling in a narcissistic way.  Most likely revolving around how cool his quirk is.

Mama said part of my job as Kacchan's big sister is to keep his pride in check.  Should I let him have this one time I mean he just got his quirk?  But I heard Mama say to Daddy that Kacchan has too much of her pride.

I resolve to lightly stamp on Kacchan's foot to get him to snap out of his big ego.
Putting my foot on top of my brother's and press down until I get a reaction.

Katsuki squeals slightly "Ow Katchan what was that for?!"

I reply nonchalantly shrugging my shoulders "Nuthin just following Mama's orders."

After a snack of milk and rice cakes we wash up and are let loose into the playcenters. I head over to the blocks center with Izuchan and Kacchan.  We eventually come to an argument, we had built a big city to play heroes in but Kacchan kept insisting that I had to be the villain.  I refused and broke away from the group to make my own block city.

I begin picking up blocks to make small houses while humming to myself.  I find an arched piece perfect for a bridge.  I reach down to grab the piece from the rug but Kacchan swoops in and grabs it.

"Hey I was gonna use that you meanie." I yell at Kacchan and stick my tongue out.

I really wanted that piece

My palms of my hands started heating up.

What?!

Wiping them on my tunic I begin building again.  My hands start to glow as I bring them to face me.  Fire starts erupting out of my palms shaping itself into a solid red hot  arches.   My eyes widen as I behold the two blocks.

Is this my quirk?

"I got my quirk too!!" I shout over the noisy classroom grinning like a madwoman.

The two teachers come rushing over along with many of my classmates

"Can you show us how it works?" asks Miss Tanaka.

I nod

Hmm what do I want to make?  Oooo ima make a sword, but small; so a dagger!

Focusing on a mental image of a dagger I once saw a pro-hero use against a villain.  I feel my palms heat up while my eyes are squeezed shut.

"Well that's something else." Mr. Ito remarks "Do you want to be a hero too?"

"Ya a hero!" I exclaim opening my eyes to peer down at my creations.

"Katana why did you make a knife?" asks Miss Tanaka with a worried tone.

"I wanted to make one of me, a katana but I didn't know if  could.  So I made a mini me!" I say excitedly.

The two adults look at each other with an air of relief.
