Pagdating sa mansion ay agad akong dumeretso sa study room. Nakita ko si Papa na naka upo sa swivel chair niya at nasa kaharap na sofa si Kuya Levi, Shein and Kuya Killian.
Napatingin sila sa dereksyon ko. Nakangisi namang nakatingin sa'kin si kuya Levi na inirapan ko na lang.
Umupo ako sa single sofa kaharap ni Kuya Killian.
I crossed my legs and arms on my chest as I'm listening on what Papa will say.
"You have your first mission together," panimula ni Papa. I'm surprised as well as my brothers, except for kuya Killian. I guess he's expecting it since we're all here.
"And what mission?" Kuya Shein interrupted.
"To kill Mr. Carter."
Oh, the famous young mafia boss. Mr. Alexander Mattius Carter. I don't know much about him but as what I've heard, his parents is gone so he have to manage their companies together with the mafia.
Papa hate him so much, money I guess? He wants to kill Carter but in underworld, you can't act impulsively. Lalo pa't hindi biro ang Carters. You need to play wisely. My brother doesn't care about the Carter. They just do what my father asks them to do. Maliban siguro kay kuya Levi. My brothers have their own company to manage, kaya minsan lang sila bigyan ni Papa ng misyon unlike me. Well, as long as Papa recognizes my ability, I can handle everything.
"Hindi ba parang masiyadong delikado?" Said kuya Levi.
"For a coward like you, yes Levi" sabi nito na nagpatahimik kay Kuya Levi. Pagtingin ko sa kaniya, 'di nakaligtas sa'kin ang lihim na pagkumoy ng kamao nito.
"This is our chance. One client also want to drag that Carter down, their family is powerful. So I guess we can join forces with them" Papa said.
Our family is powerful, but as I've said, you can't act impulsively. Kung wala kang kakampi, there's a chance that you'll lose. Carters are powerful. That's why we need allies.
Our family is the most paid assassins dahil sa gusto nila ang serbisyo namin. And I must say, the Carters are just one of the enemies our family have.
"Who's the client?" Kuya Levi asked.
"Mr. Dixon" simpleng sagot naman ni Papa.
The Dixons, they are the closest friend of our family, and only the close of the family know that I'm a Herris, daughter of Mr. Arnold Herris.
They are hiding my identity, when I asked Mom why, she said that father just want to protect me. But I'm not a baby anymore that has to be protected.
Papa always send me to a dangerous missions without the help of my brothers so why bother to hide the truth?
And thinking about the possible reason makes me feel sad, maybe he is ashamed on me?
Umiling-iling naman ako.
I shouldn't think of that. They are not, Papa loves me but he don't know how to show it, that's it.
Kinagat kagat ko ang daliri ko, my forefinger actually, its my mannerism when I think about the things that makes me frustrated.
"Saveena has the big part of this mission." napatigil ako sa ginagawa nang marinig ang sinabing iyon ni Papa. Napatayo si Kuya Levi sa kinauupuan nito.
"Its too dangerous for Sav." Reklamo ni kuya Levi but Papa didn't mind what he said.
"Mr. Dixon also suggest a way to make this mission easier." Papa continued. We're just silent as we listen to the 'easy way' that he's talking about. Masama naman ang tingin ni Kuya Levi kay Papa, he hate him that much.
"And that is to make him fall in love with you."
