(Don't own Doctor Who)

"Doctor, can we go?" Dean whined impatiently.

I slowly sipped my fifth milkshake and shook my head. I watched the tv screen on the wall. I wasn't ready to eat yet.

"Are they still here?" a brunette waitress asked Rose, whispering quite loudly.

Rose looked up from her dishes and cast a glance at me and the Winchesters. "Well, they're not loitering," she shrugged, grabbing a stack of dry dishes and walking out of my line of sight through the small square window and doorway with only a bottom half.

"Why are we still here?" Sam asked me, bored.

I reached into my magical wallet that gave me the exact amount of money I needed and pulled out some money. I handed the fifty to Sam, "order whatever you guys want," I told them.

"Oh, hey, they're here!" I heard Rose exclaim.

"Rose!" two voices shouted happily as Rose left the back to greet the two newcomers.

I sighed. 'Must be my lucky day,' I thought, feeling guilty. Who else was going to show up in this little diner? Ace? Barbara? Leela? Liz?.... Susan maybe?

"Amy! Rory! It must be freezing out there! What do you think of my diner?"

"Creative name, I'll give you that!" Amy laughed.

Only a matter of time....

"So, will you be- Amy? What's wrong?" Rory asked. I could picture him frowning.

"Um, never mind," she replied.

She saw me. She must have-

"Come on Sammy," Dean finally huffed. They both stood up and walked to the door.

As Dean walked out, Sam paused, still holding the door. He looked back at me, still sitting at my little swirly seat, glancing at my old companions sitting at a booth a little ways away. I looked at the two hunters but didn't say anything.

"Oh, for Pete's sake," Dean huffed, brushing past Sam to walk back into the diner, "come on!"

I sipped my milkshake, shaking my head as I turned back to staring at the menu.

"Doctor! We've been here all day! Let's go already!" Dean shouted across the room, standing at the door. Well, guess Winchester just set in motion something I wasn't ready to do.

The diner went silent and Dean and Sam reached for their guns.

I sighed and stood up. I lightly whacked Dean in the head, "cool your panic attack, Winchester." I scolded. I walked over to the booth before sitting down next to Rose.

"You..." Rose gaped in shock.

"Sorry for loitering, I, uh-" I looked down at the table, cleared my throat, then looked up to meet their eyes.

"Just like with Sarah and K-9?" Rose grinned knowingly. She hugged me, "it wouldn't hurt to visit once in a while!" she laughed in relief and joy.

"Oh, come on!" Dean whined while Sam smiled slightly, apparently the only one capable of attempting sympathy.

"Shut it, we're talking to my Raggedy Doctor! Not you!" Amy retorted, glaring at Dean.

"Excuse me!? You telling ME to shut up, carrottop!?"

"Hey! My wife has perfect hair!"

"Of all the people, this guy is your new companion? I am offended!" Amy and Rose said at the same time as Rory and Dean bickered.

I smiled sheepishly, "uh... merry christmas?" Yep, gotta love reunions.
