Hi, my name is Simon. As you already know, I am a cat. I love to be outside and be with my family. I have had many adventures in my life. I keep a diary and try to write down everything I do exactly how it was. Some day I will be able to remember every little thing I did.
January 4, 2007
Dear Diary,
Today someone brought me into a place with many different animals. I heard barking, yapping, and scurrying. My head spun as I was locked up in a cage for what seemed like forever. I screamed for someone to get me out, but no one even listened. Instead, I was tossed around in a box while some THING was steering a round object. I would fly across my box, and then I would go flying the other way too. I just hope I'll get out of this place very, very soon.
Yours Desperately,
Simon

Dear Diary,
I am very frustrated right now. I hear barking, chirping, and scurrying everywhere I go. I've made some friends here. They all say we are going to die. However, I don't exactly believe them. Anyways, I'm in a room with a thousand other cats. It seems like there will be an endless supply of cats for the furless ones. (They are these tall mammals without any fur). They are decently nice, though. They give us food, scoop our poop, and play with us. Oops! Here comes one now...g2g.
In a HURRY,
Simon

Dear Diary,
One of my friends mysteriously disappeared. Maybe he was right. Maybe he was the gift one to die. Personally, I don't want to die. I am beginning to grow very fond I my life and value it like nothing else. Today, I chased after a rather skinny mouse. He was rainbow and followed a furless one wherever he went. I hope I get out of this place soon. Today a huge group of furless ones visited me. They petted me and stroked me. I was in cat heaven. I hope they come back because I am starting to really miss them.
YoursSincerely,
Simon
