"How does one go about looking at life, when things seem to go in the wrong direction; but what if that direction wasn't wrong, but to a mother or father it was terribly wrong? As the time begins to change, hearts began to change, and the love I had for all people slowly begins to wither. How can one person take happiness, just like that?" Serenity S.

Beautiful music from the piano began to fill the room, while I added my voice with a lullaby to our unborn child. The light came shining down through the room from the window, signaling a new spring morning. Almost telling me that everything will be fine, but lately I have been having bad feelings that something bad is about to happen. Although, Damon says it's just my pessimist showing, but I just can't shake it off. Only four more months left and I just can't help but to think something bad is about to happen. My life has been a total dream since I have been here in Mystic Falls, so that's about the time something wrong happens or maybe I have turned into a pessimist?

I then felt movement beside me on the piano bench and a warm loving hand rubbing my back. "You do know it isn't like against the rules to sleep in, don't you?" Damon whispered letting his lips linger on my ear causing me to miss a note on the piano. I heard him laugh as he moved his lips from my ear and quickly replied, "I still got it."

I removed my hands from the piano and looked into his captivating blue eyes, "Damon Salvatore, you will always possess that charm that makes me swoon at the sight of you. I mean you are Damon Salvatore. The one and only." I said with a smile. He rolled his eyes and pulled me in for a kiss.

"And you my dear." He whispered in my ear. "Are one hot pregnant woman."

"What are you up to Mr. Salvatore?" I said pulling away from him. "Because last month you did this, it was because you wanted me to end a feud between you and your brother. That's when I told you, your brother was right and I am not going to be on your team."

"Come on, can a husband not compliment his wife?" He said sounding hurt. I studied his eyes and began to read his emotions to feel a rush of happiness, but behind that was his hidden secret. I arched my eyebrows.

"No. So what's in this secret? I sense a little plan that may or may not involve my family in New Orleans?" He turned back to the piano and played a note on the ivory keys.

"Well...would you listen if I told you to not worry about it?" He looked at me with a serious look while furrowing his eyebrows. He knows now it's hard to keep things of importance from me because of the abilities I possess. I looked at him then rose from the bench.

"You know me Damon, if something is wrong...I should know." I heard him let out a heavy sigh as he stood to face me. "I know, I was just hoping that you would this time. You know, being five months pregnant and all, but no matter what you are always willing to...help or make things better. You're like a fairy godmother to people, but I will always put you and our child first. Which is why I don't want you to know, but knowing you...you are going to look around in my head, until you find it." He paused a second after that and said while raising a worried brow, "Oh, that's called cheating by the way."

"Damon?" I asked while rubbing my belly. "You are worrying me. Is it Elijah? Is he okay?" He placed his hands gently on my shoulders looking at me with troubling blue eyes.

"If I could compel you to forget about what's troubling me, I would do just that, because that's me. I am selfish and I put my needs in front of everyone else's. I need you and I am willing not to tell you, but..." He released my shoulders and walked over to the window as if to get the courage up to tell me what it is he is hiding. "Marcel, Klaus's adoptive son or whatever it is you want to call him, called and asked to talk to you." He said in almost an angered toned.
