The date was November 21st, 2020. Lorelei was bored in her home. Since the strip club she works at is closed on the weekends and on holidays, Lorelei can only talk to friends on Zoom. And the one she decided to talk to is her favorite stripper, Parry Robinson (Punkish).
Punkish: Hey, boss. Happy birthday.
Lorelei: Thanks, Parry. How are things?
Punkish: Pretty good. But I miss being at the club.
Lorelei: I know what you mean. It's Sunday. But this week, it's going to be closed again because of Thanksgiving.
Punkish: Yeah.
Lorelei: Are you going to see your folks?
Punkish: Of course I am. What about you?
Lorelei: ...
Punkish: Lorelei? Are you okay?
Lorelei: Yeah, I'm fine. It's just...I haven't seen them in so long.
Punkish: Aren't they divorced or something?
Lorelei: Yes, they are.
Punkish: What happened?
Lorelei: Well, you know, things happen. Your dad has an affair with another woman while your mom is fucking expecting!
Punkish: Wait a minute...
Lorelei: Yes, you heard right. My mom was pregnant with my little sister.
Punkish: You never told me about this.
Lorelei: Well, that's because my little sister ended up dying in a miscarriage. My mom was like 5 months pregnant at the time.
Punkish: I'm sorry.
Lorelei: No, don't be. I needed someone to talk to about this. My mom decided to leave that dumping fucker after the miscarriage.
Punkish: How old were you when your parents divorced?
Lorelei: I don't remember. I was probably in kindergarten or something.
Punkish: Wow. Do you and your mom stay in touch?
Lorelei: Oh yes. I usually see her during holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. She's 60 years old now.
Punkish: So, she was around 27 years old when you were born.
Lorelei: Yes. She's proud of me.
Punkish: Even though you're the owner of a strip club?
Lorelei: Absolutely.
Punkish: That's awesome.
And so, the 2 of them continued to talk until it was time for them to leave.
