*Louis POV*

6am. On a Saturday.

Why I am awake? Oh, right. If I hadn't been so fucking stupid last month, I would still be asleep for six more hours. I groan as I pulled my self from the warmth of my bed to get ready for a day of pure hell. Why does anybody willingly do this to themselves?

Today, I have to go complete 6 hours of community service to avoid having this blemish on my criminal record. I jump into the warmth of the shower to try and clear my mind before heading out to set up Doncaster's annual 'Fantasy of Lights' festival at Bentley Park. Only six hours, Louis. I just keep reminding myself.

After washing my hair and body, I bring myself out of the shower and wrap a towel around my waist. I decided not to 'dress up' today so I pull on a pair of black sweats, my favourite Doncaster Rovers jumper and a grey beanie before a knock on my door. Opening up my door, my sister Phoebe stands there, eyes glued to the floor.

" Mom says you need to be downstairs in five minutes, Lou. She's not in a good mood at all this morning. She had a fight with Daddy last night." She finally makes eye contact with me. Her sad eyes break my heart.

I pull her into a hug and she sobs quietly. I hate that I have caused my family so much trouble since that night. Ever since, I have not been allowed any alone time with my four younger sisters. Mom hardly ever looks at me and when she does her face is clear with disappointment.

Phoebe pulls away and walks with her head down back to her room as I make my way downstairs to face my mother. I find her sipping on a steaming cup of Yorkshire tea reading the paper at the breakfast nook.

" I'm ready, Mum." She looks up at me and wordlessly grabs her car keys and her jacket and we make our way out the door.

It was a quiet ride to Bentley Park. As we pull up, I notice two lads from my school and audibly groan. I look to my mother and kiss her on the cheek.

" Call me when you're done, Louis." She says as i exit the car. With a quick nod, she pulls away and I make my way to the pavillion to sign in.

At the check in desk, there are two girls sitting there. I recognize one as Eleanor Calder who I've gone to school with since we were small. She is very beautiful with her long, wavy brunette hair and large brown eyes. If I liked girls, I would be attracted to her. She makes eye contact with me and smiles.

" Hi, Louis. I was shocked to see your name on the list this morning. Trying to put something good on your uni applications?" She questions me.

"Yeah, something like that."

I give her a tight smile and she gives me my assignment. Sand bags. I make my way behind the pavillion to meet Mark, my chapperone for the day.

"You must be, Louis. I'm Mark. We are waiting on three others before we head to the ponds to pick up the bags. Ah, here they are now." He smiles wide as a blonde girl walks up hand in hand with a darker skinned guy with black hair and brilliant hazel eyes, who I recognize from school. "Zayn, Perrie, how're you guys today? Where's Harry?"

The guy, Zayn speaks up, "He's right behind us."

I turned my attention to the boy walking up, hands in his pockets, head down. When he looks up, I take a sharp breath. Harry Styles. I've always seen him around but never really LOOKED at him. He looks up at Mark and shows off his gorgeous dimples in a wide, toothy grin. My god.

"Mark, good to see you." Harry shakes Marks hand while I stand there admiring the depth of his voice. He turns to me with warm, green eyes.

"Hi, I'm Harry. Louis, right?" He smiles and extends a hand to me.

"That's me," I shook his hand, ignoring the shivers that creep up my arm at the contact. I turn to Mark, "Can we get this over with?"

Mark chuckles but turns toward the large golf cart. We pile in and make our way to the ponds.

-

After four hours of putting sand in large ten pound bags and loading them onto the golf cart, we finally make our way back to the pavillion for lunch break. Mum had packed me a small lunch consisting of leftover pizza, Disney princess fruit snacks, an apple and a can of Pepsi. Thanks, Mum. I sit at a vacant table in the pavillion by myself and dig in to my less that appetizing lunch. Just as I finished my apple, Harry, Zayn and Perrie join me.

" Dude, you know they have a hot lunch in the kitchen, right?" Zayn scoffs at my lunch.

" This is fine for me. But thanks for letting me know."

"So, you haven't been here the past three weekends that the three of us have been helping out. Why start up now?" Perrie asks me. Harry turns towards me, with furrowed eyebrows telling me that he is curious about the subject also.

" I'm not here because I want to be, let's just leave it at that." I say coldly.

They all just nod and continue eating their lunches until I decide to get up.

"Where are you going? We still have twenty minutes before lunch is over." Harry calls out to me as I start to walk away.

" Going for a walk." Really, I just wanted to sneak away for a cigarette without being questioned, but they didn't need to know that.

"I'll join you." Harry gets up and walks towards me. I turn around, roll my eyes and continue on my mission for a cigarette.

We walk for about five minutes till we are on the rocky shore of the pond, far enough away from the pavillion that I can light up without anyone noticing.

I pulled out my pack of Dunhill's and bring one up to my mouth, noticing Harry staring at me.

"You smoke?" He questions, I can't tell if he's judging me or not.

"Yeah, you want one?" I don't know why I just offered that, but was more shocked when he nodded.

We both light up in silence. I take a long drag before he speaks up.

"So why are you here? If it's not willingly, I assume either your parents or authorites are forcing you to do this."

" I don't mean to be rude, Harold, but that's really not of your buisness is it?" I tell him before taking another long drag of my cigarette. I flick the butt into the water before I begin to make my way back to the pavillion. I didn't make it very far before I was being pulled back to the shore by the wrist.

"What're yo-" I was stopped by a large hand covering my mouth. Harry pushed my back against a tree and stared at me. He removed his hand with a wide grin on his face that quite honestly, was really fucking sexy.

" I will figure you out, Louis Tomlinson, and you will love every moment of it." He says with a deep, husky voice. If i didn't know any better, I would say he was thinking about kissing me. He let me go and made his way back up to the pavillion without even as much as a glance behind him.

What have I gotten myself into?
