Chapter Four

Sasha has always had a crush on Enny’s step-brother, Kyle. Enny always knew but it always grossed her out because she never really liked the idea of her mum marrying again after her dad died. But she loves her new father but not her new brother, not even a bit.

-Knock Knock-

          “Hey sis.” Kyle started.

          “Step sis...and why didn’t you knock?” Enny replied her stepbrother quite mad.

          “My bad. So what are you doing?” Kyle asked nicely.

          “Why are you trying to be nice to me? You always hate me and I hate you...remember?” Enny stated.

          “Common sis. Isn’t time we settled our differences? We are siblings now and we can’t do anything about that. We’ve just got to deal with it.”

          “Why do you want to be friends now? Huh?” Enny turned to face Kyle.

          “Okay, the point is, I’m new to your school and I feel lonely everyday taking the bus with you and you don’t even talk to me.” Kyle felt sad.

          “Oh wow. I didn’t know you felt that way. I taught you didn’t want to make friends with me because you hate me?” Enny said compassionately.

          “No. I thought you hated me.” Kyle replied looking down at his feet.

          “Well I did but just when I thought you did. I’m really sorry Kyle.” Enny replied as she got up to hug Kyle.

          “You’re my sis now; I forgive you and please forgive me too.” Kyle said as he hugged Enny.

That was a good time for both Kyle and Enny, their parents were really glad to see them talk to each other for the first time since four months after the wedding.

It was 4:23 and Enny was already getting ready.

          “Kyle? Are you going to the dance?”Enny entered Kyle’s room.

          “Yeah I am but I have to shower first.”

Enny laughed and walked out.

          “Whaat?” Kyle asked and smiled.

          “Nothing, just be quick. Sasha’s dad’s gonna drop us off!” Enny yelled.

          “Who’s Sasha?” Kyle asked Enny as he entered her room.

          “My best friend.” Enny replied as she put on makeup.

          “Wanna meet her. Oh and I always wanted to ask you? What do you always write in that hard cover book of yours?”

          “It’s kinda weird but it’s about my dream boy who will never come real. I just like to daydream of my perfect guy and keep dreaming...Why do you ask? Never mind, just go and shower, it’s already 4:35.” Enny answered and sent Kyle out of her room.

-Ding Dong-

          “Good evening Ms. Baxter. “ Sasha greeted as she walked in the door looking really pretty.

Enny and Kyle walked down the stairs joining Sasha and Enny’s mum.

          “Good evening...wow you all look so fancy; I thought it was just a dance.” Enny’s mum laughed a bit.
