Chapter Seven

On Saturday afternoon, Enny went to see Sasha at her house.

-Ding Dong-

          “Hey Enny!”

“Hey Sasha!” Enny got in the house and went upstairs with Sasha. “I’ve got something to talk about.”

“Oooo, talk about what?” Sasha said as she sat on her rug with her legs criss-crossed.

“It’s about my imaginary guy. I feel like I found him, found two even.” Enny said as she sat on Sasha’s bed.

“Oh.” Sasha stopped slouching and sat straight. “I don’t get it?”

          “Okay, remember Keith?” Enny asked.

          “Yeah?”

          “And BJ?” Enny added

“Yeah? You like him too?” Sasha asked.

“I just see some qualities of my perfect guy in him.” Enny replied.

“You know you have to stop with all this shenanigans about some fantasized guy you always write and imagine about. There are boys out there that like you and they can’t let you know because of your ‘perfect guy’. Jeez.” Sasha poured out her mind to Enny.

          “You mean Keith?” Enny asked.

“No, I mean Adam.” Sasha replied.

“That’s not true. Adam doesn’t like me like that and I’m gonna prove it to you.”

“He does like you, it’s obvious. Everyone knows he does...at least many people that I know.” Sasha replied.

“I’ll ask him right now.” Enny got up and they both went out of the house headed to Adam’s place when they saw a girl walk into Adam’s house.

“Who is that? I don’t know her.” Sasha asked Enny.

“I don’t know her too.” Enny replied and they walked to the door post and rang the door bell.

Two minutes later of no response to the door, Sasha and Enny were about to live when they saw Adam’s mum drive into the garage.

“Hello Sasha and Enny. Isn’t Adam home?”

“That’s what we are trying to find out. We rang but he didn’t open and I’m pretty sure he’s in.” Enny replied.

“Alright then, I’ll open the door with my key.”

          “Thanks.”

          “Thanks.”

When Sasha and Enny went in, they helped his mum arrange the groceries she just bought.

“Let me go check on Adam.” Enny said.

“Okay, thanks Enny.” His mum replied.

Enny walked up the stairs and opened Adam’s door like she always does when she comes to see him without knocking the door.

“Adam, I came to ask you-“She paused.

Adam was sitting with a girl on the coach in his room and they were kissing. They stopped kissing.

“Oh, I’m sorry for budging in; I’ll come back later then.” Enny awkwardly replied as Adam and the girl just sat there speechless for some seconds then Adam said to Enny.

“Enny, this is Hillary. Hillary, this is Enny one of my best friends.” Adam was quite embarrassed.

“Hey Enny.” Hillary smiled to one side of her face.

“Hey Hillary. I’ll be down stairs...bye.” Enny walked out.

Adam’s mum had already gone into her room. Sasha started to come up the stairs when Enny came down and said to her,

          “Let’s go.”

“Okay? Wanna tell me what happened? Did you ask him?”

Enny just stayed quiet till they went outside and closed the door.

“I saw him kissing a girl.” Enny said

“Whoa, Adam? He didn’t even tell us.” Sasha replied.

Adam came out the door.

          “Enny, sorry about that.”

          “Who is she?” Enny asked.

“I was gonna tell you guys real soon, she’s my friend from my old neighbourhood She goes to Sir Newman high school close to ours. We have known each other for three years and now we started dating.” Adam explained to them.

“Whoa so you were gonna tell us when?” Sasha asked a little confused

“As soon as I could.” He replied.

“But I thought you liked-“Sasha started.

“No biggy Adam. We get it. She’s your girlfriend already, as long as you like her. You should go meet her, she’s probably wondering what we are talking about.” Enny tried to understand Adam.

“So we’re cool?” Adam asked looking at Enny carefully to read her thoughts as she said.

“Sure. Yeah we are. Right Sasha?” Enny smiled and looked at Sasha.

“Right. I’m sorry for reacting. We are friends and we should appreciate that.” Sasha smiled back at Adam.

Adam told them bye and said he’ll talk to them tomorrow.

“I’m sorry Enny, I really thought he liked you.” Sasha looked at Enny as they were walking home.

“No problem. I knew he didn’t like me and now he even proved it himself.” Enny smiled at Sasha.

“Oh well. Let’s go to your house, I wanna watch the last episode of Good spy.” Sasha looked at Enny, “It’s getting really tensed up right now, and Bex is about to find out the truth about her mum, she was a double agent and he never knew. I love that show.”

“Your weird but that’s why your my BFF.” Enny commented.

          “Thanks Enny.” Sasha smiled widely.
