Chapter Fourteen

DAY FOUR...9:00 am

All the contestants were down in the hall already so excited to know who won and who lost.

          “I hope you are picked.” Isabelle told Enny. “And thanks for the dress the other day, my buddy told me I looked pretty.”

          “You’re welcome and you can keep the dress, it’s now yours. It does look pretty on you.” Enny smiled at Isabelle.

          “Thanks.” She replied

Enny smiled and faced the podium because Mr. Whitespoon was already walking up.

          “Good morning contestants, you have all been wonderful and I hope you all had fun. It is that time were 15 of you get to move on to the next round. As I call on your names, please make your way to the front.” He started.

Enny’s heart was racing, she crossed her fingers and Jamie crossed his too. They looked at each other and whispered ‘good luck.’

          “Please hold your applause to the end. Lola Davis, Benny Ford, Mike Lee , James Smith, Cameron Ruiz, Jamie Woods, Ellis McDonald, Ella Wagner, Enny Baxter, Massey Combs, Zoe Chan, David Mayer, Travis Sanford, Raymond O’Connell and Isabelle Riggs. Congratulations once again and can’t wait to see you in four days time. Good bye.” Mr. Whitespoon walked out the hall.

 Everyone clapped, some were crying and some were just blank. The top 15 were excited and they all went into their cabins.

          “You made it!” Enny ran to Jamie.

          “You made it too!” Jamie was excited. “I knew you will.” He added.

“Thanks Jamie. I’m happy for you. See you soon, my rides here.” Enny hugged Jamie.

          “I can’t wait.” Jamie hugged Enny back.

Enny ran to grab her bag and entered the car that was waiting for her.

When Enny got home and told her mum and Sasha the good news, they celebrated.

          “I should be getting an e-mail real soon. I’ll be going out of the country!” Enny said really excited.

          “To where?” Her mum asked.

          “I’m not sure yet.” Enny replied.

They were super excited the whole day.

A day after, Enny got an e-mail on the information she needed for the third part of the contest. It read,

‘Dear Enny Baxter,

Congratulations on your performance and you are now one of the top 15 contestants to go to France for one month. A free ticket will be mailed to you and you are to be in France no later than Wednesday. See you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. Whitespoon.’

Enny ran down and showed her mum the e-mail.

          “Congratulations sweety! I’m proud.” Her mum replied and hugged her.

Enny went to Sasha’s house and told her as well.

Enny went to Adam’s house to tell him the news but he wasn’t home from his game as his mum said.

          “But I can leave a message?” His mum asked.

          “Thanks Ms. Silverstone, I’ll tell him later.” Enny said and left his house.

Enny was sad that she and Adam weren’t on speaking terms and she wanted to talk to him. Enny told her mum and Sasha that she was leaving for France the next day because her ticket had already arrived.

          “Alright sweety. If that makes you happy but you know you have one more day to stay at home right?” Her mum said to her.

          “Yeah mum, but I’ll like to go tonight. I want to see all around France and feel comfortable there.” Enny gave an excuse.

Her mum had to agree to Enny’s decision and helped her pack some things. Sasha helped as well.
