Am I allowed to compete in my own competition? Lol why not? Some of the other judges are. xD
Don't worry though, I wont be allowed to judge my own story, just like the other writer/judges won't be allowed to judge theirs, so there will be no bias or favoritism here.
When you've finished reading, please vote on the story 1-10 so that I can put that number towards the 100 point total for the competition.
Thanks and enjoys!!

You were sitting back in the padded reclining chair in the virtual observatory room for your Astronomy 320 class at Zanarkand University, dozing off slightly. You weren’t even into space, and yet this was your third astro class—and you were only a sophomore. None of your other friends really were either, judging by the way Sora was passed out in his seat drooling on himself, Riku and Tidus were passing notes, Roxas and Hayner where trying to throw bits of paper into Sora’s mouth as a competition, and Kairi, Naminé, and Selphie were chatting quietly. There was only one reason why all of you were in this class.
“Whoaaaaa.” Ven gasped under his breath. “This is SO cool!” He whispered, grabbing your arm and shaking you lightly to make sure you were watching as the virtual display flashed with the bright lights of a meteor shower.
“So cool.” You whispered back sarcastically. You had all mostly known each other since high school, though once you got to college it was hard to keep up with everyone. Ven insisted that you all try to take at least one class together each semester, and then dictated that since it was his idea he got to pick the class. It was space-related every time.
“Ah, killjoy.” He waved you off, then went back to staring at the sky with the same childlike wonder he always had when it came to stars and the sky. You could vividly remember at least six times when he would make you and your friends camp out with him in the foothills of Mt. Gagazet just so he could see the stars. Living in Zanarkand meant that there was too much light pollution to properly see anything in the night sky.
You sighed and folded your hands over your stomach, trying to enjoy the light show and drown out the lecturer, when another voice you always wanted to drown out called out quietly to you.
“Rao, sivveh, oui lusehk du dra kysa (Hey, muffin, you coming to the game)?” Your annoying older brother asked, kicking the back of your chair before crouching down by your head so he could whisper with you. He was a junior, and on the Blitzball team, but not in this class.
“Gippal? Fryd yna oui tuehk rana (What are you doing here)?” You snapped.
“Relax, no one can see me anyway. So, you coming to cheer us on, or what?” He asked, drumming his fingers on the chair to annoy you.
“No! Why would I?” You said sharply, but still barely above a whisper. Your recent ex-boyfriend was on the team, and you felt no desire to go and see him or anything he was involved with.
“Awwww, Terra bnupmsac (problems)?”
“Ayd cred yht tea (Eat shit and die).” You crossed your arms huffily, and he giggled.
“Good. Someone needs to pick up Maqui and his friends from the mall.” He grinned, referring to you younger brother, who he promised to take care of this week since you handled last week.
You sighed, but knew that he would just get louder and draw the attention of the professor if you refused. “Yeah fine, frydajan (whatever).”
“Egggggcellent.” He smirked, before giving you a slobbery kiss on the forehead, causing you to curse and wiggle away from him as he got up and crawled to the exit of the room to get back to...what ever it was he was supposed to be doing right now.
