Apparently , Ronaldo hadn't read the ASAP part of my message because he replied four days later .

'Hi Ian ! I was really shocked upon receiving your message and to be frank , I would not  have believed you had it not been for the photos you sent me . As for her , she had introduced herself as Yukiko to me as well . I am attaching some photos of Yukiko and me . And, oh yes , Yukiko is supposed to meet me in Rio next month on the 7th . 

Yukiko's favourite colour is royal blue . 

Her lucky number is 9 . 

She loves cheesecakes . 

She is a terrible singer . 

She is the best ballet dancer I've ever come across . 

She never applies make-up (because she thinks that it will make her look like a geisha). 

She hates Lady Gaga . 

I hope these facts are enough to make you believe me , because I can't recall any other at the moment  . '

I saw some pictures of the two of them . Together , going all over each other's face .

Bravo ! Welcome to the cheated-by-Yukiko boys club .

One thing I found strange was how Yukiko had not changed her name while 'dealing ' with all of us . It should have been obvious to me , though . I remember her telling me once how much she loved her name as well as its meaning . She told me that she wouldn't change her name ever . Like never , ever.

10 January .Yukiko hasn't been attending Liam's ,or Rheo's or my calls . Nor has she re-activated any of her accounts .

I got two messages from Ronaldo on facebook .The first one said :

'Hi ! I am really confused right now and I so did not know what to do , so I am contacting you . Yukiko was supposed to meet me on the 7th , and she still hasn't shown up . She hasn't been attending my calls , and she was not on facebook , so I have no means of contacting her right now .'

The second one : 

'My only hope is an acquaintance ,Antonio , who was in the same college as Yukiko's . I have his number , but it is switched off right now , so I shall keep trying . Please tell me if you know where she may be right now , because I really need to speak to her about this fiasco .'

Yes , and we're looking for her because we want to fly kites with her . Isn't it obvious why we all are looking for her ? WE ALL WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON .

I recalled that terrible time when Yukiko had been away to college . At that time , every minute felt like a century . 

I remember how I used to look forward to those nights , when I and Yukiko would talk for hours over the phone .

But as I was thinking about this , a vague memory which was probably buried deep below the realms of the happier ones , came back to me . Two months before completing high school , Yukiko had mysteriously disappeared . The same way as she had now.

She hadn't answered my calls or my messages .

But after two months , she had returned . However , she had changed . She no more had the pain in her eyes . It was more of pain overcome by desire for vengeance . She started looking like she had a purpose .

A purpose to defeat . Anyone who stood in her way .

But she had returned . That's all that matters .

Or is it not ?
