Bella and Iris sat off to the side talking with each other quietly.

"Oh, you have no idea just how much I wanted to kill that woman," Bella says shaking her head with anger. "She has no business being around children." 

Iris nods in agreement. "I am only glad that Selene turned out as good as she did." She says, thoughtfully. 

"Please tell me this next book isn't going to give me a heart attack" Bella says looking over at her. 

Iris chuckled. "Mom it would make a boring book otherwise," she says teasingly. 

Bella scowled at this. "Oh, you...got this from me didn't you" she says, hanging her head in defeat. 

"Probably, sorry mom." Iris says with a grin. 

With the kids, Tom and Scorpius were sitting on the steps watching Jasmine and James pass a pall back and forth to each other. 

"Come on guys" James complained. "We can play together again and all you're going to do is sit there?" he says looking over at them. 

"Yeah, come play" jasmine called over. 

Scorpius gives them a weary grin but shakes his head. "In a minute, guys" He replied. 

James and Jasmine groaned, before going back to tossing the ball. 

Tom looked over at Scorpius. "Well, our secret's out now, what are we going to do?" he questioned. 

"I don't know. I'm not even sure if I want to know what's going to happen next," Scorpius explained. 

Tom nods in understanding. "Well, when you figure it out. Let me know." 

Scorpius nods. "You'll be the first" he replied. 

"I think, I think I'll stay as Tom...at least for a little while," Tom replied. "You never know when you need a good disguise." 

Scorpius huffs out a laugh. "Oh lord, would it hurt you to act your age?" He questioned. 

Tom gave him a sharp look. "You know the answer to that," he replied firmly. 

Scorpius winced and sighed. looking down he curled up, wrapping his arms around his knees. "I think we are the only ones who really know just how true that is, Tom." he whispered. 

"It'll get better, I know it does!" Tom says firmly. 

"But-" 

"No, listen. It will get better. I don't know when, or how. But it will. You'll see. I may not be here for a while, because I'll be the one protecting you this time. But you are not going to be alone. Bella, Iris, and by the looks of it, Walker and this Paul guy." Tom says, watching him. 

Scorpius lets out a small breath. "I messed up. I mess up everything. I'm the reason Tom was taken. It's my fault he became the dark lord. It's my fault iris-"

"Scorpius, it wasn't your fault. Don't ever think that for a second" Tom says, calmly. 

"But it is my fault, Tom" Scorpius looked over at him. "We never go back for him. We leave him there in that orphanage. If I had just...If I had just...been home sooner. If I had been quieter" 

Tom wrapped his arms around Scorpius and hugged him tightly. "Don't! Don't think like that" Tom says fiercely as tears well up in his eyes. 

James and Jasmine look over at them, allowing the ball to fall to the ground as they run over to their siblings concerned. without saying a word, they envelope the brothers in a group hug. 

"Uh oh, prince Tom is crying" Scorpius picked up from one of the guards nearby. 

"I'll get the king" another says.

Tom growled. "I hate those guards," He grumbled. 

Scorpius scoffed and looked away as he wiped the tears from his eyes. He hated feeling as week as he did. "I feel sick" He admitted. 

Tom looked at him worriedly. 

"Do you need the doctor?" James asked, concerned. "I can go get him." 

Scorpius shakes his head. "No, we've bothered him enough" He replied. 

"that's literally his job, to make sure we are okay" Jasmine pointed out. 

"I know, but-" he started to say but stopped hearing footsteps approaching. They looked up and saw Walker and JMR walking up to them. 

"Everything okay out here?" JMR questioned looking worried. 

"Yeah, Scorpius is being stupid again" Tom replied. 

"Hey!" Scorpius exclaimed. 

"Tom, that's not nice" JMR scolded. 

"Well, it's true!" Tom huffed. 

"And why do you say that?" Walker questioned. 

"Because he thinks everything that happened to Iris is his fault and now, he feels sick but won't go see the doctor," James replied with a shrug. "Hey, don't give me that look, you were going to say it too," he says seeing the glares he got from his brothers. 

"Not the doctor part" Tom huffed crossing his arms. 

"I hate both of you" Scorpius deadpanned. 

"Scorpius" JMR scolded but was holding back a laugh. He looked over at Tom. "Was that the reason you were crying?" he questioned. 

Tom's eyes darkened. "Stupid guards. always there when you DON'T need them, but gods forbid, they are there in an emergency." he huffed. 

"perhaps we should go see Carlisle" Walker suggested. 

"Noo!!" Scorpius whined. 

"Just put your father and my minds at ease" walker says carefully. 

Scorpius groaned but got up, "fine" he grumbled. 

Tom stood up. "You're right one thing Scorpius," he says, making Scorpius freeze. "I'm just as guilty." He says before walking off quickly. 

JMR watched him confused before looking over at the siblings. "What did he mean by that?" he questioned. 

Scorpius stared after Tom as he retreated into the castle. He looked down and trembled. "I thought we were going to see Carlisle" he says shortly, before heading inside.
