Chapter 1: Feelings

HINATA POV

Yamaguchi pinch serves the ball causing the ball to curve last second, but nothing escapes Nishinoya's rolling thunder.

"ROLLING THUNDERRRR!!!" He calls out digging it from the ground last second.

Kageyama steps back a bit and sees me, Tanaka, Asahi, and Ennoshita start going for the ball, trying to sike the other side. (Nishinoya isn't one for spiking)

With little time to think, he sets the ball to the middle, its too late for me to hit so Ennoshita from behind hits it.

Tsukishima from the other side blocks it straight down, so fast I couldn't catch up and ended up recieving with my face.

"Oh yeah!!" Tanaka bursted from laughter.

"Boke!" Kageyama sets to Tanaka, but misses the ball from laughing to much, Nishinoya joins on the laughter.

Blood dripped from my nose down my chin. The set was over.

Later the room was filled with bouncing balls, squeaking shoes, as we started to clean up.

Sugawara's mom mode was kicking in hardcore and help my face in his hands inspecting my face.

My nose still dripped but not as much as before.

"You should've paid more attention, boke!" Kageyama snapped at me.

"Well you didn't set to me!" I snapped back.

"Now, now, children..." Sugawara got in between the two bickering first years.

"Tch. Nice recieve." Tsukishima adjusted his glasses.

"Hey!" My attention went towards the tall blonde.

"You heard me." He scoffed.

Kageyama looked like he wanted to argue back but kept his composure.

Sugawara face palmed, "Just why..." he mumbled but Dadchi *ahem* I meant Daichi, overheard the commotion and grabbed the three first years shoulders, "Eheh...I guess you guys didn't hear correctly, maybe because you were to busy bickering..."

We all sweat dropped, at this point we messed up and Daichi let out an aura that set tension through the whole gym.

"W-we're sorry!" Me and Kageyama made a 90° angle bowing.

"Y-yeah," Tsukishima muttered looking away.

Daichi gave us a smile, "Alright, now finish cleaning up."

"Yes sir!" Me and Kageyama said in sync again.

"T-thanks." Sugawara sweat dropped and Daichi gave him a sweet smile, I'm not really sure what it is, but those two seem to be acting weird lately.

Like, about a week ago, Sugawara got mad at Daichi! SUGA, MAD!!! Now that was scary. I think some girls from the volleyball team were talking to Daichi and something snapped inside Suga, they got into an arguement, but that's in the past now.

3 days ago, some strange guy grabbed Suga's hand and took him into the alleyway, Daichi got there before anything happened, but they have been close since.

"Hmm" I thought out loud.

"Oi! Boke!" Kageyama signaled for us to leave as we were finishing up.

I shined a bright smile, remembering that my mom is making tamago kake gohan, my absolute favorite food!

KAGEYAMA POV

I saw him flashing his big signature smile as he ran out the gym doors trying to catch up to me.

He held onto my bag that was strapped on my shoulder. He catched his breath and looked up at me, smiling.

A blush crept on my cheek.

"What are you smiling about?" I mumbled as I cover my face with my hand.

"Mom is making my favorite tonight! Also Natsu told me she wants me to teach her how to play volleyball!" He started jumping up and down from excitement.

Cute...

Wait...what?

"Isn't she too young?"

"Hmm should be fine...I just won't spike it at her, I figured I should teach her the basics first, like how to hold your arms when receiving, the footwork to get up at the net to block and kill it."

"I could teach her the best ways to set the ball, and how to prevent jamming your thumbs." I flinched just remembering how many time I did that when I was little.

"Wait, that happens?"

"Oh yeah, I did it all the time, its the same with blocking, Tsukishima jammed his fingers really bad blocking Ushijima, even now I occasionally jam a finger, but its more on impulse when there is no other way to get it. The adrenaline also helps lessen the pain until after the game, its also the same with liberos, digging is definetly a pain, it takes a lot of training and indurance to become as good as Nishinoya."

I looked down realizing that I talked too much but saw him looking up at me wide eyed, amazed.

"Wow, I guess I never thought about it...would you even want to?"

"Want to what?"

"Teach Natsu how to set, what else?"

Ummm...

"Yeah sure, I wouldn't want her to feel that pain for too much, it's not the best feeling if you know what I mean."

He smiled, "Your right, but I'll be so proud when she finally feels that tingly feeling in her hand after killing the ball on the other side at her first game."

Woah...

"Hinata..."

"Ah! Look! Natsu is already in the front yard waiting for me!"

I didn't realize we already walked that much I looked to my right and saw my house, he lives a little farther than me.

I guess we just got caught up in talking, I ended up losing track of time.

I look at my house, knowing nothing waiting for me behind those empty doors and looked over at Hinata's house with Natsu bouncing the volleyball in her hands, and his mother standing the doorway, apron still on waving at her smiling son.

"Hey...Hinata?" I was hesistant to ask.

His attention was all mine, "Yeah, what is it Kageyama?"

"Can I spend the night at your place?"

He looked taken aback and took a minute to process things.

Stupid Kageyama...you should've known...

"Well grab what you need now." He smiled and I went inside the house to grab a few things.

HINATA POV

Kags went inside his house and I couldn't hold my feelings anymore.

A bright red blush spread my entire face.

My crush...is spending the night at my house!!

Come on Hinata....

Get your crap together!

He will back at any second!

I saw his front door swing open and he emerged from his oddly dark house with an extra bag in hand filled with clothes.

The wind picked up causing my hair to go in my eyes and my mouth so I spitted it out and tucked it behind my ears, meanwhile I look over at Kags, he whipped his head back and ran his fingers through his hair slowly.

Shit...

That was hot!!!

This is going to be a long night...
