"Come on. Let's just get up and get some fresh air. See a few friends maybe." Taylor suggested, getting up and walking over to the windows.
He pushes open the black, silky curtains, the sunlight beaming through the windows and filling the room.
"Son of a bitch!" I exclaimed, shielding my eyes.
Every time I opened my eyes it felt like the sunlight was burning my retinas because my eyes couldn't adjust to the sudden burst of light going into my eyes quick enough.
"Why did you open the curtains?" I covered my head with a blanket, "I like the dark!"
"Come on!" He yanks the blanket off of me, "Even the darkest of people need sunlight, now come on. I have a little surprise for you downstairs." He says pulling me out of bed by my arm.
I grudgingly followed, my eyes half shut and tripping over my own feet. Taylor had a pretty firm grip of my arm so I wasn't going anywhere except for where he was taking me.
I was still thinking about my dream. Who were those, beings? Cause Lord knows, they certainly weren't human. One, the one that held me in the dream, he had crimson coloured eyes. The one off in the distance, had jolly rancher green eyes with a white mask appearing on the right side. A female with lemon yellow eyes and a diamond pupil. Along with so many others.
My drawings and sketches were running through my mind at this point and a name, a name! I had always named my sketches if they were of some sort of person or being. A name had appeared on the lower right corner of the page but it was all, smudged. Like someone was using charcoal to write the name then proceeding to run their hand across where they just wrote it. Black smudges, and the only thing I could make out was the letter E at the beginning of it.
"What? There are numerous names that start with the letter 'E'!" What in the hell could this name be? In the drawing, I remember it so vividly because it's one of my best works. The being was male. He looked very, professional. Dressed in a deep gray trouser suit, crimson coloured undershirt to match his hair and eyes, and a plain black tie with matching shoes. His skin, a pale gray and a small scar on his cheek in the exact same place as my facial scar I got when I was little. I remember his smile, his laugh, the sweet sound of his voice but, I just cannot remember his name!
Coming out of my thoughts, I find myself in the living area of the house with the front door wide open and people standing in the doorway. Taylor pulled me out of our room and through the house so quickly, I wasn't able to grab my glasses off the nightstand so I was unable to see who was standing at my front door. I walked closer and when I heard the person speak, it was a males voice. I looked up at his face, his smile beaming down at me, though my vision was still very blurry.
"Hey Olivia! What's up?" His voice swam through my ears.
It took me a minute to recognize his voice cause my head was still a bit foggy from the thought of that, name and the familiar beings in my dream. But once my eyes focused on his face I immediately recognized him.
"Hey Logan! It's been a bit! It's so good to see you!"
"It's great to see you as well." He moves to the side, "And I brought some other people with me who are so excited to see you." He said, motioning his hand to everyone standing in a group behind him.
My face lit up as I saw all of my best friends, who I consider family, standing there. Smiles beaming from their faces. They all ran up and formed a group hug around me saying things like, Olivia! It's so great to finally see you again! and, We've missed you so much!
My heart sang as I heard all of them greeting me and showering me with love like they used to back when we were still in school with classes together. I remember like it was yesterday. All of my friends would shower me with love, complements, and so much appreciation. They would help me when I was at the lowest of lows and spike my confidence like it had never been spiked before. I remember one singular face in the small gathering of people, her face stood out to me and I personally had to go up and greet her.
