I ran , with the lamp in my hand trying to secure a way out of the mansion through the tunnel. I was positive that Vikram wouldn't have noticed my intentions because I devised extreme caution . I didn't want to get caught like the last time. How stupid was I ?!
The flame from the little lamp I had , was swaying in the wind. Night winds in Jaipur were always chilly and unbearable. Once I make it out of here , I have to get to a train that leads me to Delhi . To get to the British Consulate , who would send me back to my peace .
My mind was preoccupied with the thoughts of further escape, that I failed to notice the exit which was very near , nor unusual placement of a chair in the middle of the way .
As the faint moonlight was visible , my eyes drifted to the exit and a sigh escaped my lips.
Only then did I notice the silhouette on the chair in the middle of the way , blocking the path to the exit.
I jumped in my place. It was a man, the way he sat on the chair ,oozed confidence and charm .The faint moonlight fell on his face , grazing his features .
The first thing I noticed were the eyes , pitch black , with rage and uncontrollable desire. A chiselled jaw which was now clenched. How could I not know ?!!.
Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi.
I gaped , unable to believe my eyes . How could he possibly know this.
If only I had known then that Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi knew everything , at least everything that concerned me.The sudden creaking of the chair brought me out of my trance . He had stood up , making the poor chair fall with a thud .
He started to take long strides , and neared me in a span of a second. I was petrified of the things he could do to me now.I closed my eyes shut , terrified of our proximity . His hot breathe fanned my cheeks and made its way to my ear, tickling my senses. His strong , expensive cologne hit my nose and I bathed in it unknown.
I tried to look everywhere except his dark eyes which were held on me , as if peeking through my deep subconscious of which even I wasn't sure.
I tried to move , but his palm suddenly rised and I flinched as a reaction. It made hard contact with the wall beside me , blocking my way. I looked down unable to face the challenge. He leaned more , if that was even possible , and his husky voice rang through the cold , still air around me .
" You had a very good plan but nothing you do will ever be able to surpass my desire for you. So , ....
What shall I do to you for you to believe that you are never ever leaving me ?"
I remained still , even my breathing came out in low heaps . I lay , as if I was in the proximity of a powerful and hungry lion , and not a man ." May be tie you to my bed . Forever . "
He nibbled my earlobe as he spoke .
I snapped my gaze upwards at him , frightened. He chuckled at my reaction . And spoke , his face still held a grin , the context of which I couldn't yet fathom , whether it was truly humourous or a form of dark mischief or danger .
" I haven't completely lost my patience yet , Aagneya but I say you are walking on thin ice . So when it breaks ... "
He didn't complete his threat and started walking , dragging me with him inside the Palace .
