Scarlett's POV
I can't believe she is back. I mean..she hasn't done anything to me personally, but I think she also likes Chris. I need to keep my head high and not think about her. Chris asked ME on a date. Not her.

I stood there taken off guard. Liz and Cobie were walking ahead of me. They turned around and saw I was shocked.
"You okay Scar?" Cobie asked with a confused look. Liz looked the same.
"Yeah. I just realized something. Nothing important." I said. Coming back to reality. Everyone was looking at me. Even Emily.
I heard someone whistle. It was Robert.
"Okayyyy...ScarJo is trying to impress." As Robert said approaching me with a little swag walk. Everyone laughed. I just giggled, playfully punched his arm and blushed. I glanced at Chris, I don't think he was paying that much attention to me anymore.

Emily walked up to me. I took a deep breath. Chris was following her, but she was ahead of him a little.
"Hey Scarlett. It's so nice to see you again." She said as she hugged me. It caught me off guard a little.
"Ohh heyyy." I said dragging it out as she let go. Chris walked up and put his hand on her back.
"So how's it been? We haven't talked in forever." She asked. They both just looked at me. I was struggling speaking.
"Ohh...yeah...it's been great... umm...how are you?" I said. A little bit suspiciously. She didn't notice. Neither did Chris.
"I've been great. I am just excited for Captain America:Civil War." She said enthusiastically.
Before I could respond,
"The Russo brothers wanted her to get a feel for premiere week again so they invited her to Cleveland. Isn't that cool?" Chris said excitedly. They both looked at me for an answer.
"Yeah....that's amazing.." I said a little unsurely. I was just surprised she is going to be here for the whole week.
"Is everyone ready? I am so ready to get my party on!" Anthony Mackie said. He did a little dance and everyone laughed. We all got into the SUV Uber and went to the restaurant. I heard it was outdoor and Thailand style. It was going to be a looonngggg night.

Chris' POV
Scarlett is acting weird. It is like she is hiding something or feeling a certain way. I don't know what it is. For example, when we got to the restaurant, we entered next to each other, but when it was time to sit down she sat at the other end of the table. It was like she was avoiding me. I hope she isn't. If she wants to tell me, then she can. I just want to enjoy myself tonight. But really, I hope Scarlett is okay. She's kinda quiet.

I sat with Emily, Paul, and Mark Ruffalo. Emily was telling us what life was like after CATWS. It was kinda interesting. She said she found small acting jobs, but mainly traveled a little bit. I was so intrigued. I love traveling when I can. I happen to glance at Scarlett and she was on her phone, a little bit disconnected from the group. She would occasionally look up at something Robert said, but was mostly not paying attention to the group. What is up with her? I was brought back to what Emily was saying.

Scarlett's POV
To be honest, I was kind of miserable since I saw Emily was here. But I told myself I was strong and I didn't need Chris to have a good time. I was daydreaming and in my thoughts until I heard Mackie.
"Scarlett?" He said waving a hand in front of my face. I was snapped out it and turned to him.
"Yeah." I said snapping back.
"Let's take a walk. C'mon." He said as he stood up. The restaurant was on the beach. I stood up with him.
"Where are you two delinquents going?" Hemsworth asked. Everyone was looking at us get up. Even Chris.
" We're just going to take a walk along the beach and chit chat." I said smiling to reassure everyone nothing was wrong. I could tell Chris could see right through me. I didn't care. He can just sit and flirt with Emily even more. He watched us as we walked to the beach.
"So what's up with you?" Anthony asked as he knew something was wrong.
"Nothing." I said. He could tell I was lying.
"I know you're lying." He said. I sighed.
"Fineee" I said in sighing voice.
"Did you know Chris asked me out last week? I asked him.
"Yeah."he said like he obviously knew.
"Well... everything was fine, until Emily showed up. I mean. I'm not jealous, it's just...I feel like he is so interested in her, that it's like he almost forgot I existed. I mean..it's wrong to get a person's hopes up, if you are just going to bring them back down anyway. You know?" I said. Hoping he understood. He nodded.
"Yeah I feel ya. I don't think they have anything deep, so I wouldn't worry if I were you. If anything, she is obsessed with him. I think he still likes you. If anything happens, I gotcha back. Okay?" He said reassuringly. He gave me a side hug. I nodded and gave a quick smile. It felt good talking to Mackie. I think he gets me sometimes. He's a true friend.

When we got back to the table, the check was already brought out. Luckily we finished our food before we went on the walk. Everyone got up and went to the Uber. We were on our way to the night club/bar. I was going to try not to think about Chris. Tonight is not about him. I was ready to get hammered, but now, I feel like dancing and just having a good time. I want to remember tonight and how I had a great time. I don't want to get black out drunk. There's no fun in not remembering where you ended up last.
