Armin had lived in Town Maria for about.. 2 days? Him and his grandfather had moved there on Wednesday because of some family complications. Yeah, he missed his old house, but this one was much better. It was actually pretty big, and even though it was a bit shaky it was still eye pleasing. It had nice brown wood that was stacked up neatly and a chocolate colored roof with a chimney sticking out on the left side. The door was cream shade and had a window that was very clean (courtesy of Mr.Ackerman, an older teacher armin met the day they moved in). The house was still getting into shape, but there was still a little personality. Armin hadn't taken that many things with him on the move, but he did take three important things: a quilt his mother made him, a book of exploring the world, and his Oreo cat, checker.

Armin lied on his plain white bed with his cat, the quilt being the only thing giving the room color. He was searching through his phone, trying to gather information on the people at his new school. His town was relatively small, so it was easy to look through Instagram or maybe even Facebook if they were still online there. He found three people his age that were dumb enough to give away their location, five that were around his age and probably went to local high school, and two teachers (one being mr.Ackerman).

It may see a bit stalkerish, but armin likes to be prepared. The last time he was the new student, he didn't do any research and he was completely isolated from the other students the whole day. He couldn't even keep up a conversation. 'Not this time though.' he thought.

He scrolled some more and came across another guys page. He didn't show off his location or show off advanced classes like the others, but he had taken pictures with another girl that did on her page. She didn't look dumb, but Armin just guessed that she didn't really care.

The guy's name was eren jeager, and he was a freshman, by armin's guess. He took a few pictures with the other girl, but as armin scrolled some more, there were all sorts of posts. He was definitely something. His only picture of him by himself was him standing in front a building. The words above the door read: "I can't fucking read,"

That's not actually what it said lol. Armin just liked to believe that because the words were blurred out. He got bored of eren and found some other people. Damn, he was good at this. By 8:30, he had found like 36 people.

Armin heard a knock on the door and sat up. He closed his phone and answered, his grandfather standing at the doorframe. Armin smiled, his grandfather always seemed to make him smile.

"Yes grandpa? Is there anything you need?" he asked. His grandfather nodded and stepped into his room (without permission, but armin didn't mind. He really did cherish his grandfather).

"Yes, you're schedule just came in the mail. I thought you would wanna look at it together," his grandfather said in a nice tone. Armin was really excited, he loved looking at schedules and arranging things. He just liked planning in general.

He sat down next to his grandfather and watched him open the orange envelope on his hands. The paper wasn't long but it was packed with information.

"I don't understand why they couldn't just have emailed this to me, I made one yesterday for this exact reason," his grandfather complained. Armin laughed and took the paper from his hands.

"It just feels more formal, no? I feel official now. Like I'm going into a secret school for ninjas,"
"Yes, I guess you're right," his grandfather laughed and picked up a book from armin's floor while armin looked over the schedule.

"Awesome, I have PE last," armin said. He folded the paper back up and found a random thumbtack in his drawer, then pinned it to his wall of achievements (well, soon to be. That was his first achievement since the move). He stepped back and grinned, feeling very confident in his new life. He would start school in two days, Monday. He was excited but he wasn't- it was hard to explain.

Suddenly the doorbell rang very loudly and annoyingly, like a squeaking duck. Armin thought it was broken but his grandfather insisted it was fine.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to say, the neighbors said they would come to welcome us this evening, I saw them at the grocery store. The have two children your age I think, so i thought it would be a good thing for you to make friends before heading off to school," his grandfather set the book down on armin's shelf and walked to the doorway. Before leaving downstairs to open the door, he told armin to get dressed, as they were most likely to go somewhere nice.

'It's literally 8:50,' armin thought, but nevertheless got dressed in semi formal attire. He couldn't tell if he wanted to meet the neighbors or not.
