Goliath stood there, breathing heavily. He had nearly been trapped! He could smell intruders. He stalked through the very long grass, ready to kill some mice. He swiftly killed a gerbil with his powerful paw.
He picked up the gerbil and brought it to his mate and kittens to share with. His kittens were now adults, yet they still stayed. They were the two who held the power of the stars in their paws.
Their pelts golden and silver, despite that he was calico and his mate was tortoiseshell. Neither of their ancestors had such beautiful, sparkling, starry fur. They looked like they were born straight from the stars.
The night they were born, the Milky Way galaxy shone so brightly, it made his lime-green eyes ache. He had suffered the loss of his white she-kit friend, Jellybean. the very same day. It seemed like one more star had appeared after Jellybean's death.
