Chapter 1: New Boy

BEEP!!! BEEP!!!! BEEP!!!
I wake up to the annoying sound of my alarm clock. I moan. I grab my phone and check my texts. Lucine has repeatedly sent the same text over and over again. She's saying that we having and transfer student from a school all the way on the other side of town.

I text her back saying I should try to be friends with him or her cause I was a transfer last year. I go get a shower, brush my teeth, wash my face and put on my stem colored skirt with a lace rose colored top. I put on some mascara and blush, then I run down the stairs.

"Rosa! Your up early. Something planed at school?" My mother says with wonder and surprise

I nod eating my breakfast a bit quick. I grab my blue flowered backpack and run to the woods. I check the left and right of me making sure there are no Norms seeing me change into one of my forms.

Yes, I'm 'different' or 'alien'. Mom says that her, me and other people have these incredible powers to protect the world, but in secret.

I don't know why and who we are protecting the world from but mom says that we have to.

I never knew my dad. When I ask her about him she just starts to cry. I wonder what happened that made her so sad. She says I got my powers for him, then she whispers to herself that we are all doomed again. I never knew what that means but what ever my father was, I shouldn't become him.

I change into a wolf, animal powers are useful but a bit dangerous. I soon run down the path through the forest towards school. When I reach the opening, I switch back to my human form and wipe of any dirt on me.

I run down towards school. I don't see Lucine, she must be getting a head start, for once. I walk towards the big doors of Lake Town High. I see a boy who is staring up at the school in amazement. I walk towards him, he must be the transfer.

"Hi! You must be the transfer?" I say to him. He looked startled when he first saw but then smiled. Cute.

"Oh! Uh, hi! You must go here. They said I have to get a copy of a schedule from another student. Do you want to share a schedule?" He asked. I saw that he wore gloves, in spring?

When I was about to ask the bell rang. I motioned for him to come with me to class and we raced down the sidewalk, into the school, and through the hallway to the 'always empty and sad' locker that's next to mine. I told him this can be his locker. He smiled the cutest smile that I've ever seen.. WAIT WOAH WOAH I'm not going to fall in love am I? Am I, Rosa Thorne Smith falling in love? I try to answer that question when the boy walks away.
