Every day is the same.
Waking up to the sun shining brightly through the curtains of his bedroom window, the same sun that used to remind him that every day was a brand new day full of so many opportunities.
His hand runs over his swollen belly as he stares at the sun rays illuminating the room in an orange hue, trying to remind himself that this feeling won't last forever. He tries to remind himself that every day will get a little easier. He tries to remind himself that he has to be strong for his little girl, he's all she's got.
Eventually, he's able to find the motivation to sit up. He takes a moment to admire his belly, resting his hand underneath it as he reminds himself that in only a few months' time he gets to meet her. He already had so much love for her.
Everything about his life had changed in such a short amount of time, but the one constant he had right now was his daughter, just as he was her's.
Harry always believed that their relationship was written in the stars, the same ones he and Louis had spent hours at a time gazing at together, hand intertwined as they snuck little glances at one another.
Louis once told him that he believed he and Hary were soulmates. That they fit flawlessly together like pieces of a puzzle that couldn't be resolved without the two of them. Harry couldn't find a reason to disagree with such a simple statement that meant the world to him. Back then, he hadn't really understood what it meant to be someone's soul mate. Over time it made more sense. Their relationship was meaningful and beautiful, but like every relationship, there had been a few small bumps in the road along the way, all of which they had survived before.
Nevertheless, their latest small bump turned out to be an extraordinarily long bump. One which they couldn't exactly fix with a long conversation where they would then kiss and make up like they always had before. One which caused their relationship to crash in burn in only a matter of seconds, leaving Harry on his own to deal with the aftermath of it all.
Trying to balance all of his new responsibilities paired with a broken heart, Harry tries his hardest to move on. There was only so much he could do when his heart was still stuck on Louis Tomlinson. There were distractions from his pain left and right, but he was never one that could avoid or ignore his problems for more than a little while.
High school was a new challenge. Coming back to school after everything that took place last year was a bit nerve-wracking, to say the least. But Harry had always been a pretty determined person, and graduating high school was his main goal at the moment.
The idea of seeing Louis at school again after all the time they'd spent apart was making that one goal entirely too hard to achieve.
High school was scary enough before parenthood.

additional notes & comments ;
1 — this story is mpreg, which means that male pregnancy is a completely normal thing in this fictional universe.
2 — because i happen to be a dumb american, the school system in this particular story is pretty americanized, but the characters are british! it's like... a hybrid between the two.
3 — there is a bit of smut in some of the chapters, but i will let you know beforehand so you can choose whether or not to skip it. (oh, and if you do decide to skip it, feel free to message me if you want a brief description of anything important that might have occurred in that particular chapter!)
4 — some of the chapters are flashbacks, so make sure to check the top of every chapter to distinguish when that chapter is set in.
5 — there will be no shaming of teen parents as a whole in my comments. i was a product of teen pregnancy myself, and my mother did incredibly well considering what she was going through.
6 — i'm considering making a playlist/pinterest board of this story if you guys would like a little bit more help visualizing, so let me know if anyone would be interested in that.\.
7 — all of the events that take place are fictional and have most likely been born from the most random parts my brain. the characters and their backgrounds in this story are completely fictional.
That's all of the comments and warnings I can think to give at the moment, so without further ado, let's get on with the story!
Whether you're a new reader or and you've come from my last version of this story, I appreciate you so much more than you know.
Thanks for sticking around.
