Road Trip Relief

The sight of the wet and bedraggled hedgehog made Tom feel somewhat sorry for the poor creature, who, by following his words, headed West, but accidentally went too far and ended up in the Pacific Ocean.

A small sigh left Tom's lips as he looked out of the window before turning back to the hedgehog, who stood there, frowning in his direction, as the fish on his head slipped off and hit the ground with a plop.

"Alright, get in the truck."

"Really~?! You're gonna help me?!"

Sonic rapidly shook his head, in order to get rid of any excess water in his fur, but the movement soon caused his fur to puff up twice its normal size.

"I guess this is a little bit my fault that this is happening to you."

A small frown appeared across the blue blur's face as he looked up at Tom.

"Not a little bit... entirely. This is entirely your fault."

Tom sighed and soon admitted defeat, as he was quick to interrupt the young hedgehog.

"Alright, it's entirely my fault... now, are you coming?"

The blue blur smirked and nodded his head.

"Yes."

As the blue blur shook his head, his quills were soon back to normal. He then climbed into the passenger seat and closed the door before fistbumping the air.

"Roadtrip! Woop woop!"

The cop sighed as he shook his head and looked out the window.

"What am I doing?"

Tom started up the engine and looked out of the window with a frustrated expression, sensing that his long trip was now going to feel much longer than he anticipated.

"Alright, there's gonna be rules on this trip. Number one; do exactly as I say, all the time, got it?"

Sonic smiled cheerfully as he gave Tom a thumbs up.

"Got it, Donut-Lord~!"

The cop quickly gazed from the window and peered in Sonic's direction, before turning his attention back to the road ahead of him.

"Would you stop with the 'Donut Lord'?! I have a name, it's Tom..."

The blue blur smirked confidently, as he pointed at himself.

"I'm Sonic."

-----------------------------------------After his extremely brief visit to the 'World's Largest Rubberband Ball' exhibit, and gift shop, Sonic felt himself becoming more curious about the world around him.

Knowing that he only has a single day left on Earth, the blue blur wanted to savour every moment he could.

Unfortunately for Tom, however, this meant that he had to deal with Sonic's constant begging to take him to every landmark along their route.

After many instances of Sonic escaping the car and running to various landmarks, the cop became increasingly agitated and soon resorted to locking all of the car doors, as well as the windows, in order to stop it from happening.

The blue blur protested his boredom and attempted to unlock the car door but soon gave up and sat back down as he realised that Tom was the only one who could unlock them.

"Sit still otherwise I won't help you... got it?"

Sonic pouted and crossed his arms in defeat as he noticed Tom lean over and pull the seatbelt over him before fastening it.
