Chapter 1

My name is Tina Stevenson, I'm sixteen years old. I have chocolate brown naturally wavy hair that comes down to about the middle of my back. I have vivid green eyes, pale skin, and a tall, slim figure. I'm pretty much just a regular girl. Oh, except for the fact that my dad is one of the most famous actors well, ever.

His name is Jonathan Stevenson and his name is the only plain thing about him. My mother, Ray Lynne Stevenson, is a not-as-famous director. As you can probably guess, we've got a lot of money. I'd like to say I live a pretty normal life, just like any other girl, but I'm afraid I would be lying. Regular girls don't have to hide from papparazzi 24/7. Regular girls don't have a closet the size of two classrooms filled with every designer brand you can think of. Regular girls don't have personal trainers and personal chefs and maid service. So yeah, I think it's safe to say I'm completely NOT normal.

My best friend's name is Brooke Adams. She is kind (most of the time) loyal (some of the time) and a shopaholic (all of the time). She is the only friend I have, but if I'm being honest with myself she's probably only friends with me because I'm famous. My OLD best friend, Kaley, moved to Australia a year ago, so Brooke was all I had left.

I do have a boyfriend also. His name is Taylor and we've been together for just over three months. He's really hot and nice and everything, but if I'm being honest with myself we would probably be better off as friends. We've just never had that... Spark.

I was sitting on the love seat, cuddled up to Taylor as Brooke just sat on the armchair, arms crossed and a bitter look on her face. She caught me looking and quickly changed her expression to a sweet smile. I wasn't fooled though. I knew Brooke had a thing for my boyfriend. In fact, a lot of girls had a thing for him, he was gorgeous. Short jet-black hair, chiseled, angular face, and SEXY body. He also ha these piercing blue eyes and when you stared into them it almost took your breath away.

As soon as I looked away from Brooke her faced changed back into the bitter scowl and she stared pointedly at the rug. We were just flipping through the channels, looking for something good to watch

"babe, there's absolutely NOTHING on tv. Got any good movies?" Taylor asked

"yeah there are some in the little cupboard below the tv. You and Brooke can go choose one, I don't really care"

Brooke jumped up, eager at any chance she could get to be near my boyfriend. I watched as she scooted as close to him as possible. "ooh how about a scary one?! I llooooove scary movies" she said while fluttering her eyelashes wildly.

"um, do you have something in your eye??" Taylor asked. Clueless boys. I was pretty sure he didn't even realize she was pretty much in love with him... I never said he was the brightest bulb.

I tried my hardest not to laugh as Brooke's face went as red as a tomato and the crazy eyelash-fluttering instantly ceased. They finally chose the movie "The Strangers" and Brooke popped it in as taylor came and cuddled up to me again. Not gonna lie, I was really freaked out.

I was halfway through the movie and I was clutching onto Taylor for dear life, burying my face into his clean white abercrombie & fitch sweater while he smirked and tightened his arm around me. Brooke didn't look too scared, probably because she was too busy glaring at me and Taylor to actually pay attention to the movie. What a great friend I have, eh?

"I'm going to get..... A bowl of fruit loops!" I exclaimed. I actually was just looking for any excuse to get away from that darn movie, but I wasn't about to let Brooke or Taylor know how much of a wuss I was.

"you're having cereal at 10:00pm? What the hell Tina?" Taylor asked incredulously, but I was already halfway to the kitchen so I didn't hear him.

I sat down at the kitchen table, not bothering to grab the cereal. No one would come and check on me. Taylor was probably too absorbed in the movie and Brooke was probably too absorbed in Taylor. I was slightly worried about the whole my-best-friend-is-in-love-with-my-boyfriend thing considering the fact that Brooke was GORGEOUS. Long flowing golden hair, heart shaped face, pouty salmon pink lips, and deep set chocolate brown eyes. Hell, if I was a guy I would probably date her...

She didn't have a boyfriend currently, mostly because she didn't really date. Knowing her she was probably waiting for me and Taylor to break up so she could make her move. Did I mention how fantastic and loyal my best friend is?

I finally plucked up the courage to make my way back to the living room. I hoped the movie was almost over - or at least the scary part. I walked in just as the girl was being dragged into a room by a terrifying man in a mask. I covered my eyes and blindly started running back into the kitchen before anyone noticed me and accused me of being a total coward.

My plan was thwarted, though, when I ran directly into the wall. Yeah. I guess running with my eyes covered was never a good idea in the first place... So much for being subtle.

Brooke and Taylor both spun around to see what was causing all the commotion and when they saw me lying there sprawled out on the floor, they both broke out into fits of hysterical laughter. I scowled as I got back up and brushed myself off. "it's not my fault I'm clumsy, you don't have to laugh so hard" I crossed my arms and started walking back to the couch, only to trip over my own foot again, making me stumble. This set them off again and Brooke was on the floor clutching her stomach and Taylor almost had tears. "oh my god you guys, it wasn't THAT funny! Calm yourselves!" I exclaimed. I was no longer scowling, though. I was actually trying to hold back my own laughter.

I was used to being clumsy. Even if I went shopping I couldn't touch something without it falling off the shelf and clattering to the floor, attracting even more attention to myself, if possible. I couldn't hold it back any longer so I sat back on the couch, and let a little giggle break through. Of course that just encouraged them to start teasing me

"OMG TINA YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE LOOK ON YOUR FACE! PRICELESS! YOU LOOKED LIKE A DEER IN HEADLIGHTS!" Brooke exclaimed, still on the floor. "WE JUST HEARD A LOUD THUD THEN THERE YOU WERE, WITH THAT BEWILDERED EXPRESSION ON YOUR FACE!!" Taylor added, now wiping the tears of laughter away. Okay, it really wasn't that funny. They should be used to my clumsiness by now. "jeez you guys, calm down you sound like crazy people!" I said with a smile.

Once they were finished laughing it was finally to the part of the movie where it was, ya know, daytime, therefore it wasn't as scary. I knew it probably wasn't over, but there was no way I could get away with going back to the kitchen so I cuddled up to Taylor again, trying to distract myself with thoughts of happier things, like puppies and rainbows and I don't know, chocolate fudge cake. Yumm... Before I knew it I was dozing off in Taylor's arms....
