It was now Monday morning, it was like time just past by. The week went so fast. All we did was just unpack and buy stuff for the new house and our new house.

I groan hearing the newly alarm I had bought just a couple days ago, now wanting to break it after I had just bought it.

I sat up from my bed and frown with my eyes still closed. I sat there for a couple of minutes before hearing my mom come in my room.

I decided it was time to get ready so I wouldn't be late for my first day of school. My parents had told me last night that I was only 2 months late of school so it wasn't that bad knowing it wasn't like it was half the school year. My parents and I also signed up for the permit license after we settled in so we don't have to take taxi and bus.

Speaking of bus, the school bus will probably be coming to my neighborhood in an hour.

I brush my teeth and wash my face before I start getting ready. I didn't bother to take a shower since I took a shower before I went to bed.

I grab the clothes I had already picked out from last night. A habit I had because I grew up from my mom teaching me to always be ready when I get up to go to school or somewhere important so I don't stress out about it in the morning.

The only difference was that I wasn't putting a uniform on. Instead I actually had clothes I liked to wear and pick out instead of the usual collared shirt and skirt.

I put on my graphic tee and black ripped jeans with white shoes. I go over to my vanity that my mom insisted to buy for me and put light makeup on barely even noticeable but enough to make my face more awake instead of looking like I had just crawled out of whole and also put a small looking chain necklace and hair tie as my accessory. I didn't put earrings since earrings were uncomfortable to wear so left it as it is. Only putting them on when it was important, for example being a formal event.

Surprisingly, the temperature outside was sunny and beating of the hot sun. Even from touching my window, my fingers burned from it. I take out my jacket anyways just in case the temperature does happen to change.

I take my phone and backpack with me as I go downstairs, "Hey mom!" I hug her from behind as she gasps.

"Hey sweetie! How was sleep?" She turns around when I pull away from the hug.

"It was great until you decided to wake me up and get ready." I say giggling.

"Oh sweetheart you were gonna be late if I hadn't." She giggles making me smile widely. She is probably the most happiest person on earth because never in my life have I seen my mom not smiling. My dad was opposite to my mom. Although they both share the same traits when it comes to family, my mom is definitely more forgiving than my dad.

"What's for breakfast today?" I ask her as I sit on the island chair.

"Pancakes so you can be energized for your first day." She told me, handing out the pancakes and bottle of syrup in front of me, "thanks mom!"

I grinned as I pour the syrup and eat the pancake using the fork.

"So, how is work going for you and dad?" After a few minutes of eating, I ask trying to make a conversation.

She stiffens at my question making me furrow my eyebrows, "The business is doing well." She says relaxing and turning herself around with a smile.

I could tell it was fake because her real and fake smile had a different impact. But I decide not to push it. They were probably stressed but not want to tell me so I don't get worried about them.

"That's good to hear." I say pursing my lips as I put the plates and fork on the dishes.

"I'll wash it. You go ahead and go to school, the school bus will be getting here soon. I'll see you later sweetie." My mom sends her goodbyes as I make my way to the door.
