mingyu leaned his back against the concrete wall, flicking his lighter as he lit up a cigarette, the burning tip being the only source of light in the dark alley-way. half an hour ago he had left wonwoo's house with the excuse he was about to get some snacks from the convenient store.

impatiently he tapped his heel against the floor, waiting for a certain someone to show up. at some point he even started questioning if he came at the right day. perhaps he had mistaken the time.

but when his phone screen lit up on the arrival of a certain text saying 'i'm almost there. x ' mingyu realized it were just his nerves, wrecking the hell out of him.

he tried to calm himself by inhaling the intoxicating smoke, fidgeting with the cigarette between his fingers. guilt rose in his chest and he even considered walking away before things could escalate, but his legs went numb. just inhale once more, and the doubt, guilt and pain will vanish.

"mind giving me one as well?" a female voice hit his ear, making mingyu's head peer up in surprise. a mask of fake emotions appeared on his face, just like a grin from ear to ear. though without saying anything he reached for the box inside the pocket of his jacket, taking a cigarette out as he handed it to her.

"smoking isn't good for you, baby." the word made him want to vomit, though he kept up the act, even lighting the stick that hung from her lips. "how about we go somewhere, huh?" the girl changed her voice in a seductive manner, resting her hand on top of mingyu's chest, who simply swatted it away.

"not in the mood." he grumbled in a stone cold voice, taking a deep inhale of his cigarette in an attempt to get over with it faster. but yet, she continued touching him without his permission, making mingyu groan in frustration again.

"ah come on, after everything i've paid you can't even bring a girl to a good hotel and give her what she wants? it's just for one night, don't be a sissy." she attempted yet again, making the level of mingyu's nerves almost turn into some form of aggression, yet he managed to remain calm.

"i just said, i'm not interested." he growled through gritted teeth, swatting her hand off his body a little harsher this time as he took a step aside, creating a bigger distance between them. "we made the deal we would just talk tonight."

unfortunately, the girl wasn't one to give up so easily and took a step closer. "if it's just talking i'm not willing to pay you any money." she crossed her arms in a naive way, determined of her decision.

"whatever the fuck you want, i'll get going then." mingyu let out a frustrated sigh, pulling his hood a little higher up as he pushed himself away from the wall and started leaving. but still the girl was fast enough to reach for his arm and pull him back.

"wait!" her voice switched back to innocent again, raising mingyu's level of annoyance to its max as he huffed a short 'what' in reply. "if you make out with me before you go you get half the price."

you dirty piece of cheating shit.

how long are you keeping up with this act?

if wonwoo ever finds out, you'll lose the love of your life.

but he shook the thoughts away as he threw his cigarette on the garbage littered floor, turning around in a swift motion as he went in for a kiss. regret. it all felt so wrong. her chapstick tasted so much different from wonwoo's naturally soft pair of lips. her hands on the back of his neck, tugging onto strands of hair, differed so much from wonwoo's long and slender fingers that were able to reach up all the way to his ears.

she didn't go nice and slowly, she didn't even wait. she didn't treat him with the same tenderness like how wonwoo does. she didn't treat him like he was fragile and vulnerable. she just used him for her own pleasure.

and only then, mingyu realized he was doing the exact same to wonwoo.

only with actual romantic feelings involved.

while mingyu was certain the girl was head over heels for him, he'd never felt anything else beside platonic feelings. but she payed a good amount of money to him after every appointment. before he met wonwoo he didn't found it hard to do so, unlike now everything had been so different back then.

and finally he let the feeling of regret take a lead over him as he broke free from her grasp, wanting to turn around as he entirely forgot about the deal they made. "hey! wait up!" was what made him realize he didn't have any cash on him.

he felt the dollar bills sliding in his opened hand before the girl tiptoed and pressed another small kiss on his lips. "goodbye, babe." he whispered before turning around and ignoring her further attempts on taking the night just a little further.

and only when he was around the corner, he was able to breathe properly again, counting how much money he'd made that night. it was a thinner pile than usual, though seventy five dollars was satisfying enough for the things he'd done. with a disgusted frown covering his face he hurriedly got into the car and accelerated faster than legal, aggressively wiping his sleeve over his lips multiple times as he hit his head against the backrest.

"fuck!" he let out a raspy scream that filled the empty car, speeding back to wonwoo as he was the only one he wanted to be with for now.

even when he was well aware, that he didn't deserve the raven boy..
