Chapter 5: Getting lost

**Ella's POV**

When Clarice was calling out the names I was overjoyed when I found out I was with Dylan, I looked for him, smiled, and waved, he waved back.

Soon Clarice said that it was time for us to start moving. After some time, we split up with our partners. At first, it was kind of awkward even though we talk to each other quite often...but soon we started talking.

Dylan: "So...how are you?"

Ella: "I'm good, you?"

Dylan: "good....there's a new girl in your cabin right?"

Ella: "Yeah, I'm pretty sure you already met her, her name's Luna"

Dylan: "Yeah, she seemed pretty nice"

Ella: "Yeah she is...."

Ella: "Anyways, how's camp been going"

Dylan: "Good"

*Dylan and Ella continue talking about random things*

**Luna's POV**

It was getting dark little by little; we hear Clarice's voice in the distance telling us to come back. Me and Alex tried finding out where her voice was coming from...but we were lost!

Luna: "I can hear Clarice calling, but I'm not sure from where"

Alex: "Yeah, I just can't put my finger on it"

Luna: "Um doesn't that kind of mean we're lost"

Alex: "yeah, but don't worry I don't think there aren't any animals or anything but I'm not 100% sure"

Luna: "Okay, do you think you remember the way out?"

Alex: "Not really I've only been here once before"

Luna: "Okay then this is bad, it's starting to get dark"

Alex: "Your right, but I remember seeing a torch in your bag "

Luna: "I completely forgot about that; I had taken it just in case"

I take it out and on it, it was getting darker by the second. We decided to stay in one place so that if they come looking for us they can find us. It was starting to get chilly, which was weird since it was summer. I noticed goosebumps and slight shivering, I tried to cover it up, but it didn't work

Alex: "Are you cold"

Luna: "Noooo"

Alex chuckles, a cute chuckle may I add

Alex: "Obviously, you are."

He gives me his jacket

Luna: "But won't you feel cold?"

Alex: "No, I don't feel cold that fast"

I hesitantly take the jack and cover my shoulders.

I suddenly jerk up from my sleep to find that it wasn't a dream and we were still lost in the trails, I see Alex asleep on the trunk of the tree. I realize he was shivering, I took the jacket off me and put it on him. He looked so cute and peaceful whole he was asleep. Luna stop staring at him! It's creepy.

I look at my watch and see that is already 9, how did they not find us yet...I was starting to get worried. After some time, Alex woke up and we talked for some time until we heard rustling behind a bush not too far away from us.

Was it an animal?

Was it Clarice or somebody from camp coming to find us?

Was it an ax murderer coming to kill us?

We see Clarice come out with a worried look on her face. I let out a sigh I didn't even know I was holding and started talking to Clarice.

Clarice: "What are you guys doing here?! Why didn't you come back!! Did you know how long we were looking for you?!!"

Luna: "Clarice please calm down let us explain"

Alex: "Yeah, we weren't paying attention and walked away from the path. After you started calling out for us to come back we realized we were lost and tried calling out but I guess you couldn't hear us, so we decided to stay in one place in case you found us."

Clarice: "Okay... I'm sorry for shouting at you but you can't go missing."

Luna & Alex: "We're sorry "

Clarice: "It's fine, now let's get back to camp"

Luna & Alex: "Okay 😊"
