earth shakes
violently an anger
seething beneath
the ocean
floor
weaving waves
come gushing
rolling water reaches
the shore
wonderous wall
of liquid destruction
comes crashing
down
onto houses
and children
now
your city
lies below the flood
my friend
destroyed
every grain
of
perception
Until
old habits
are washed away
Until
souls are cleansed
Until
a new earth
can
begin
