Mary's POV:

My Life Diamond begins to burn a hole in my chest as I stand sputtering due to Michael's proposal. Is he being sincere?
I can feel more excited drool threatening to leave my mouth, so I decide to answer before it spills out onto my face.

"Uh... Y-Yes," I murmur, barely audible. Swallowing my saliva, I laugh nervously.

He smiles, looking relieved, and stands up, meeting my eyes. Suddenly I am afraid that he's going to kiss me. We've never kissed while both of us were fully conscious. The first time we kissed, I was outcold and covered in blood, and the second time, he was dead and covered in blood.

Fortunately, he only hugs me.

"I'll be right back," he says, and then turns away and jogs down some hallway.

When he's out of my sight, I walk over to the nearest window and stick my head out to vomit. Chunky liquid spills from my hot cheeks and onto the grass outside. Now that my stomach's been emptied, I feel much less pressured.

To think, this all started with one small trip to say goodbye... Not even a year later, I'm an immortal goddess engaged to Michael Jackson in a world full of clones. But, I know, there's nothing to be afraid of, even when the night changes.

Michael returns, holding something behind his back. He approaches me and gestures for me to hold out my hand, and so I do. He turns my palm over and reveals the object he's been concealing. It's an engagement ring, a small thing, but still beautiful and, I imagine, expensive. He slides it onto my finger.

There is silence as I look down and the ring and he looks down at me, both in admiration.

I look up, way calmer than I was minutes ago, and ask "What now?"

He laughs and shrugs. "We plan the wedding?"

"Hm... Who are we gonna invite?" I joke, and he smiles in response.

I'm kinda bored now. Half of me regrets killing the whole world, but the other half knows that it's the reason Michael is here and would do it again in a Life Diamond-beat.

"I think I actually do have a wedding gown somewhere in here," Michael says, "but I don't remember where it came from..."

I nod silently. "So, after everything's said and done... Then what? Do we just live a peaceful life? I'm immortal. I'm wondering if you are, too, now, since my love is supplying your life."

"I guess we just see how the cookie crumbles," Michael says, and it makes me laugh. "Now, I'm gonna go find that dress."

Michael's POV:

I'm really hoping I'm immortal, because if I'm not, and I die, yet again, then what will Mary do? Being immortal is a condemnation. And now that the whole world is basically useless, once I'm gone, Mary will go psycho. So, if things are in my favor, I'll be immortal, too.

I walk down the halls of my empty mansion, walking in and out of rooms, looking for the gown. I enter the room that Mary, Tex, and I all used to hang out in before I died. I am surprised when I am welcomed by Tex, who is sitting blankly on the bed.

"...Tex?" I ask.

"No, this is Patrick," Tex says, but I'm not exactly amused because I thought he was dead.

"I'm, joking. My name is Tex 2.0, I'm a clone of Tex. Tex is now a clone of Mary," he says.

So Tex is dead... This guy is just kinda like a robot.

"How are you?" He asks. I give him a thumbs up as I begin to search the closet of the room.

"I've been told to sit here by Mary." He swings his legs back and forth. This guy isn't like Tex at all. Mary must've made him so she could still have Tex as a friend, but I'm afraid that attempt has failed.

I pull out some sort of clothing wrapped in plastic from the closet, and I hope it's the dress I'm thinking of. I lie it on the floor and unwrap it.

My eyes meet a beautiful white lace wedding gown, perfect for the occasion. I begin to wrap it back up, resting to take it downstairs for Mary.

Tex's eyes go wide and his face becomes serious as he sees the dress. "Who's that for?" He asks, his voice deeper than normal.

"Um, Mary. I proposed," I tell him a bit awkwardly.

"WHAT?" He screams. He jumps up on the bed, his hands forming fists at his side.

I stay silent and hurry out of the room because I have no idea what he's capable of. Since he's a part of Mary, he might have her powers, too. I lock the door behind me.

Walking downstairs, I think of who's going to be the priest at the wedding, and who's gonna be the piano player and everything. I guess we'll just have to use some of Mary's clones.

In the living room, Mary sits on the sofa, staring down at her lap.

"I found it," I say, and hold up the dress.

"Nice!" She says, and begins to stand.

Suddenly there is a shriek from behind me, and I turn to see Tex, standing awkwardly with cock eyes, crying blood.

"You can't marry Michael, because I am!" Tex yells. Then he holds up his hand and there is a circle drawn on his ring finger in blood.

"WE'RE ENGAGED!" He screams.

Then I look at Mary, whose face is red with fury.

"You are my servant. Obey me, and shut the heck up," she commands.

"Never!" Tex 2.0 screams.

"Fine," Mary says. "Then I guess we'll have to battle."
