ch. 6 like a movie

"Hello?"

     I quickly turned my head to see a young boy about my age standing in front of me. "Hi, i didn't see you walk up here," i say trying to compose myself. "Well your head was facing the floor so it's fine," he says smiling. "Not that it wouldn't have been fine if you were looking up and didn't see me, it's just that uhm sometimess peolple miss things and thhat couldvee been the case and uh..." He looks at me embarrassed and i can't help but let out a small laugh, making him laugh too. "We should head inside, it's a little cold," i say. He follows me into the theater where we get in line to buy our tickets.

     We reach the front of the line where we are greeted by a woman selling tickets and letting people in. "Two for y/mc, please," i say to the clerk. "That will be 27.38$," she says back. I begin reaching for my wallet before i see alex pay with his card. "Thank you, enjoy your movie," the clerk says smiling. I put my wallet back and talk to alex.

     "Hey, you know we could've split the tickets," i tell him trying to sound polite. "Well if i remember correctly i asked you here so it'd be rude of me not to pay," he said humorously. "Hah, we'll see about that, snacks?" i asked to his nodding response. We step in line and he says he likes my clothes, "They look really good on you." A few hours before coming, i settled on some loose jeans, a pair of converse, and a slightly oversized shirt with a band decal. "Hah, thanks! I wanted to keep it kind of simple but i thought i sort of underdone it, but if you like it then i guess i did fine," i said happily, "You look pretty good yourself mr. man." He was wearing a striped button-up loosely tucked into dark blue jeans with black shoes and a decently thick coat on top. "Oh, all this? God, i feel like i overdid it, you know with the button up and all," he said somewhat timidly. "Well i like it, gives off a sort of dilf vibe," i said.

     It took me a moment to realize what i had just said. I felt my cheeks begin burning as i began profusely apologizing to alex, all while he's dying of laughter. I watch him grab onto the rack of candy next to us and grab him, making sure he doesn't fall over. He holds my arm trying to calm himself down before looking me in the eyes smiling, causing me to burn up again. "HAH, it's fine, whew oh god jesus, hah well it's good you see me in a good way at least," he said while wiping a tear from his eye. For a moment i forget we're in public and feel like it's just me and him together.

     We eventually make our way to the counter and realized we never talked about what to get. "I'm fine with just popcorn and a drink," i said not wanting him to spend much money, even though i had a plan for this. "Do you want to share a big bucket of popcorn to share then ?" he asked before i nodded back. "Then two large drinks and a large popcorn, please," he said to the man at the counter. "That will be 21.27$," he said to alex. I quickly handed the man my card before alex could say anything. "Thank you here are your cups, let me go get your popcorn," he told us. I turned to alex with a cocky and proud look on my face, "I'm not letting you pay for everything, what kind of guest would that make me," i said jokingly. "Oh you're going to pay for that," he said before giving my arm a little love tap. "I just did silly," i say before grabbing the popcorn and our cups.

     We get our drinks and head to our room and find a nice pair of seats just the right distance away from people. I accidentally chug half of my drink before feeling like im freezing. "Damn, i should've brought a jacket hah," i say to alex. "Well here, im a little warm actually so it's better this way," he takes off his coat and wraps it around me before looking at me with his hands on both of my shoulders. He gives a little blush before sitting back in his seat and filling his mouth with popcorn. I chuckle a little before the movie starts it's previews.

     It's about two-thirds of the way through the movie wherever i feel myself get even colder and scoot up to alex on my left. God, he's so warm, i feel myself lay my head against his shoulder. Man, is this what dating's like ? I've really been missing out. I could just fall asleep here. I quickly realize that my head is literally on his arm and pick it up as fast as i can. I shift away from him embarrassed, wondering what i was thinking. Why would he be fine with that? i didn't even ask him if i could. what's wrong with me. god im such an id-

     "Hey," i heard alex whisper to me, "it's fine, you can lay on me." I move back over to him cautiously. I move to make my arm against his, scared to lay on him. Slowly, alex grabs my hand and holds it reassuringly. His warm hand against mine. I tilt my head to his shoulder and rest until the end of the movie, all while his hands in mine.

     The movie ends and i get up but alex doesn't let go of my hand. We throw our trash and walk out of the theater together. "So what'd you think ?" alex asked me. "About the movie or this ?" I looked at our hands. "Either," he said back. "I liked it. Very fun and relaxing, i think," i said still staring at our entwined hands. "What was your favorite part ?" he asked again. "Whenever we were in line getting snacks," i said back, now looking at him. "I liked that part too," he added. The both of us stayed quiet for a few moments before he spoke. "I'd like to take you out again. We didn't really get to talk to each other too much and that was kind of my fault for taking you to a movie," he asked me. "Yeah i think i'd like that, you still have to help me fix my dating life," i said jokingly. "Well whenever i'm done it'll be better than ever," he joked back, "can i walk you to your car ?" "Yeah, of course," i said back. We soon made it to my car and to our surprise, his was right in front of mine. We got in our cars before waving goodbye and driving off.

     That was amazing, what was it ? We went and saw a movie, joked around, and held... What was that about ? God so many thoughts are running through my head right now, i need to go home and go to bed.

heh sorry for not updating guys, i just got a bf so ive been busy in a good way. n e ways, i plan on writing another chapter tonight, unless im eating or watching big Q's stream. o yeah happy thanksgiving yall. uhm. idk. im thankful for quackity and potatoes.
