Grey Winds Territory.
Mason let out a low groan as he climaxed deep in the girl’s throat. What was her name again, Jen? He couldn’t remember. Once he was satisfied he shoved her back causing her to fall on her ass.
“That will be all.” He muttered, the girl quickly readjusted her clothes and wiped her mouth before scurrying out of his office without a word. Mason was trying his damndest to forget about Arya, but no amount of booze and girls could take the image of her face out of his mind. Mason had spent hours in the Northern Forests, he had found Daniel’s cabin. It was completely spotless. Someone had taken the time to wipe it clean. The trail was once again cold and Mason was furious. Connor had been in a drunken stupor lying around at his house waiting for his sister to return. This only made things easier for Mason, with Connor out of the way Mason was free to hunt for Arya on his own. It would be easier to take him out if he was drunk and spiraling into depression. He could make it look like a suicide and walk away clean. Mason lit up a cigarette and grabbed the phone off the desk dialing Mark’s number. After a few rings a tired Mark answered the phone.
“Alpha Mason, what a surprise.” Mark muttered into the phone, Mason ignored his attitude.
“What have you got for me?” Mason asked bluntly taking a drag from his cigarette.
“A lot, too much to explain over the phone. When can you come over?” Mason stood up grabbing his jacket and keys.
“Right now.”
“Right now? It’s midnight.” Mark didn’t sound too excited.
“Your point? You’re still awake aren’t you?” Mason was fed up with this kid already.
“As you wish Alpha.” Mason hung up without responding to Mark’s sarcasm. As obnoxious as Mark was, he was a vital member of the pack, meaning Mason couldn’t just kill him because he annoyed him. Mason left his house and hopped into his truck and started making his way towards Mark’s cabin. Pulling up to Mark’s cabin Mason hopped out of his truck tossing his cigarette butt into the yard he pulled out another cigarette lighting it up. Mason once again walked into the cabin before knocking. Mark was sitting at his computers as usual smoking a joint playing Grand Theft Auto. A monitor in the right corner caught Mason’s eye, it was a news paper article. Large black letters read ‘Local Teen Mauled to Death by Rabid Wolf’ his eyes skimmed down to a map of North America lying on the desk covered in pinpoints and markings.
“So what have you found?” Mason asked cutting to the chase. Mark chuckled and spun around in his seat.
“You’re gonna want to sit down and probably take a hit of this.” Mark passed Mason his joint, Mason took it and sat down on the couch waiting for Mark to continue.
“So I gathered DNA from a hair follicle in the hat, it does belong to Dan. But his real name is not Daniel Murphy, its Daniel Maloney. He’s from a place called Caribou Maine, way up by the Canadian border. He was a big drug dealer there, got his stuff from Frank O’Callaghan. Frankie is high up the ladder in the Irish mob. Doesn’t have much one him. Couple speeding tickets and one marijuana misdemeanor. He disappeared in 2006 when he was seventeen, so did his friend, Jeremy Stone. But here’s the kicker, day before he disappears, local boy Zack Peterson gets mauled by what state police say was a ‘rabid wolf’.” Mark scrolled through some pages on a screen before landing on a photograph of the bloody remains of a human boy’s face and torso, his arms and legs had been ripped clean off, it didn’t even look human. Mason was impressed. Mark turned to him with a grin plastered on his face.
