"MOMMY MOMMY LOOK AT THE WATER,"A little girl ran around looking at the brand new house in awe.

The six year old had only ever lived in the city. She'd never even clearly seen the stars at night.

"Jeez,its like you've never seen a pond before,"Her teenage brother,Alex,scoffed.

He stood tall behind his little sister Gwen who was about to fall into the water if she kept leaning that way. He grabbed her arm before she fell in and she swept her dirty blonde hair from her eyes.

"I think I saw a frog," She said excitedly

Their mother rolled her eyes at the two's bickering, only taking in the new house and all of its, well if she was being honest, oddities.

It looked run down and old, nothing like the pictures the old owner had shown her.The white paint was peeling off and nearly all the shingles had since been blown away by wind or rain.

There was a small shed in the yard that looked the same, about ready to fall over at the smallest gust of wind. She looked back at the road and then the car and then back at her children who were exploring the outside.

Gwen picked up a smooth rock she found by the pond and threw it into the clear water. The only clean thing in the area by the looks of it.

"Alex.Alex how do you skip a rock?"She whined

He rolled his eyes, putting his phone in his pocket and walked over to his little sister. He picked up a flat rock and showed her the motion, showing her how to do it with her own hands.

"Oh my gosh,"She fell back into him in a fit of giggles,"that was amazing"

"Come on, Mom's gonna want us in the house,"He took her right hand, her other holding a dirty baby doll, and guided her inside.

Every surface seemed to be covered in dust even though it had been lived in only a week before.Or maybe it hadn't,so many people lied like fools to get money these days.

Alex shared a look with his mom and nodded, picking up his sister and throwing her over his shoulder.

"How about we pick out our rooms Gwenny," Alex hummed

The upstairs seemed a little better almost looking like it had, in fact, been lived in last week. The only thing was that one door was locked from the inside. That was supposed to be Gwen's room.

Alex dropped his sister on her feet and opened the locked door with a credit card, easily enough he thought. Not giving much thought to why it had been locked in the first place.

The room had been painted a light pink, with several chandelier looking lights hanging from the ceiling and a tiny twin sized bed sitting in the corner with a bright pink comforter.

Gwen bolted into the room, goose bumps erupting on her skin from the cold.

"Alex its perfect,"She sighed dreamily falling onto the bed with a thud.

He smiled at her.

"I'm gonna go look at my room,"He tells her and she nods.

His room was completely empty, his footsteps echoed even when he tried to walk light on his feet.

A week after when all their furniture had gotten to the old house and been set up Alex found his sister in her room.

"Ruby do we have to play this game again? I wanna play with my dolls,"Gwen said

Alex looked around her room, confused. No one was in here except her and a few of her toys from her trunk.

"Who are you talking to dude?"He asked
