Him and I were doing fine that night. Hanging out like we always been since we were 8. Daniel Seavey is the person I would go to if something or anything was wrong. I would do the same for him he is my best friend. Daniel was the type of guy that would risk something but if it didn't go well. He would just simply do it again. That week I just got out of a relationship. The reason was jealousy of my friendship with Daniel. Daniel was always the reason why any of my boyfriends that I have had would break up with me. It's funny because I seem to see it as a curse. I know it's stupid. He has this thing that if he doesn't like the guy than he isn't good enough for me. I often disagree but he is most of the time he is right. After my recent breakup, Daniel and i have been hanging out more. Sometimes we flirt but it's no harm done. I see Daniel as my best friend sometimes I see him as more. But at this moment I just want to be friends with him. Tonight he came over daniel seemed different. He looked like he was going to change something. I had that feeling my gut feeling.
"Dani are you okay?"
Daniel pov
Y/n L/n is the only person I want. That does sound creepy but she is my best friend. She would help me with the problems I have. She sees me at my worst and my best. Y/n knows me more than I know myself. When she would get a boyfriend I had to see him if he is not good enough for her. Not one has passed the bar and I look at myself. I see myself with y/n i'm the only one seems to pass that bar for her. Tonight everything is going to change between me and her. I am planning on telling her my feelings for her. These feelings that, I have since 3 years ago at a dance. She was wearing a wine red silk long dress with black heels and a pair of flats because most times she takes off the heels so her feet could breathe. It's quite funny if you ask me. Everyone one there the boys, her amd our family was there. After a couple of songs, there was a slow song playing at the party. I walked up to her to ask her for a dance. She hesitates at first because when people are around she thinks they will stare at her. Then a second later she held my hand. We walk to the dance floor and started to dance. We're in the middle of the dance floor ans ignored everyone around us. Turning her around and did some trick. We both smiled. I saw her brown eyes look up to me with her smile. That smile made me realize I love y/n more than just a friend even a best friend. We were dancing but to me, it felt like we were floating. The song was coming to an end and she looked at me.
"Thanks, Dani for everything and just know that no matter what happens between us. I will always love you daniel."
She hugged me them the song finish. We went back to the table and I sat next to Jonah.
"You're blushing daniel amd j think I know why."
Jonah whisper in my ear ans pointed at y/n.
"You know one day im going to marry y/n."
Jonah looked at me and shook his head. He replied with
"Well, daniel you better hurry and make y/n yours."
I nod my head yes and started to go up to y/n. She was with a guy and I was defeated. Ever since that day, she is the only one I want. So back to this moment at the time. I got out of my head that when y/n asked me a question.
"Dani are you okay?"
Looking at her all I did was nod. She smiled.
Y/n pov
He looked at me ans shook his head yes. Even with nods of his head, I couldn't trust him.
"Well, whatever it is you know you could trust me, right?"
He took in a deep breath and made eye contact with me.
"How do I tell someone that I love them?"
I was taken back by that question and just stared at him.
"Well, Dani you have to come out and just say it. If that person doesn't say it back then it's not meant to be."
He nods and bites his lower lip. There was a silence for a couple of seconds and Daniel looked at me.
"I love you y/n"
Glancing at him with my eyes wide
Daniel pov
"Take it back Daniel."
I looked at her with a worried face not knowing why.
"Why y/n"
"Say you were trying to make me laugh."
"I thought you wanted to be more y/n."
"I do."
She started to hesitate with her words.
"Y/n do you want to be with me or not?"
"I do but we aren't ready Daniel"
"I am ready y/n, it's you who isn't?"
I started to walk up to the door.
"Daniel please don't leave we could talk about this"
"I think we should stop taking for awhile and get our priority straight"
"Daniel?"
"Bye y/n"
I left her house and after tonight I'm going to get her out of my head.
Y/n pov
The only guy I cared about amd love just walked out of my life. Hearing his car start, I wanted to walk out and catch him. Seeing his car lights leave the driveway. But I know deep down that this was for the best. Someday things will be different just not now. I'm sorry Daniel.
