The town had 4 parts to it. There was the wall, which isn't off limits but most people only visit it during school on the mandatory field trip. Unless your a guard or a miner of course. (The guards are sorta like the guards in Attack On Titan. I know I haven't mentioned them, so basically they are there in case the wall ever broke. Yeah I guess my story is similar to AOT. Ill try to change that.) Which im not so I don't visit it often at all. It is made out of mossy cobble, but I guess it was just cobble when they built it. It keeps the mobs out with its 4 layers.( I know AOT Im sorry)
There was then the greenery area. That area is sacred and no one is allowed to mine or harvest anything from it. Most people who deal with greenery do in there own farms, so that area is mostly for a chance for a breather, even I go theremwhen I needed to enjoy some serenity. A brief description of it is a viny, grassy, flowery forest sith ponds and waterfalls everywhere. It is quite beautiful really.
The 3rd layer of our town is the farms (people sleep at there work places) this area is pretty big because we need alot of space to grow our many crops. And in the middle is the shops. The shops are centered around a large fountain people throw in coins into, which fall into droppers.
Okay... I say shops but that isnt true. There is also the school there, and the Mayors home. There is also the post office which is hardly a store.
I walked into the town with my 20 golden ingots and walked directly to the mushroom stew corner café. The owners had atleast 20 mooshrooms in there fenced area so they took their stew seriously. I walked in and paid for a simple order and sat down on a nearby seat. As I slowly ate it, savoring every bite, I saw Wardo speaking to the bakery.(hardly a bakery when I make it all, guess I cant complain though. ) he was giving her the bread I made and spoke about missing Delila. The baker, had a skin of big blue eyes with her yellow hair tied up in a bun wearing an apron with stains on it. I listened as she spoke. She was talking about how when her son went missing and she seemed to come to the same conclusion as me.
I frowned. Something was bugging me. I dont know what though. I finished off my stew and turned the bowl to the café owner and she took it quietly. The soup costs 10 golden ingots but you could get 3 back if you returnes the bowl. I asked the stewer if she heard about Delila In which she whispered," its starting...." I guess thats my fault asking the Stewer. She had once been a miner but after some odd incident in the mime her entire crew went missing and only she returned. She was a bit loopy and if you asked her what happened she would start screaming,"AHH NO NO NO. EYES. EYES. EYES." After that she would close shop for the day and wouldn't talk to anyone for the rest of the day. So going any farther with my question would've been nuts but I found myself askig anyway, "Wh, what do you mean, its starting?" As I said this she stared at me and said, " Steve, bewarn!! It starts with one, and more will come. No, she isnt the first, more have disappeared, only at BIRTH. Noone notices the gone babies. No one. No one but the parents. And they never cry out because they can't. H-he won't let them. And, now she is the first, first non newborn. Soon, he, he will strike us all. Once then...darkness. I know no more. But bewarn Steve. We soon will all be doomed."
I stared at her and mentally facepalmed myself for letting her continue with what she was saying. Now I was going to be a bit freaked out over nothing but a stupid thing a crazy girl told me. I knew she was loopy but this is far out. I told her i would be careful and walked out. I found my feet heading to the fountain and took a quick peek at the deep water exploding out in a way that seemed to defy physics. I looked up and saw two children racing up to the top while one screamed, " HAHAHAHA! I AM WINNING!!!" while the other yelled," NO FAIR YOU PUSHED ME!!!" A little ways away ZexyZek and his friend Bodil40 were throwing their voices and makin it seem like a sheep was talking to a little girl. They were making the sheep say, "I AM THE LORD OF SHEEPS. FEAR ME. FEED ME WHEAT!" And the little girl was freakig out crying for her mom. All so calm. Yeah, the Stewer was just freaking me out for no reason. Nothing to fear there. Even though I told myself this I did not feel any better. And... suddenly outta nowhere, I heard a voice. It was most definitley in my head, however I had no control over it.
Steve. You know what she says is true. Soon, your lovely life here in Minetopia will end and you will have to rise up to save them. Me and my bretheren will await you at the highest mountain in all the land. But before you can reach us you must stop lieing to yourself and embrace who tou really are.
who... who are you? What do you mean? What do you mean end
Steve... your fate is sooner than you expected. We shall await for you. Goodbye
Wait. No. What do you mean? Are you real??? Whats going on?????
No answer came. I realised people were staring at the odd , an sitting their looking distressed and confused and seemin to whisper to himself. Embarrased, I went on my way. I told myself that I was just a bit paranoid with what the stewer said but even now I knew I was still lieing to myself. Like I have all my life.
What up guys yahookitty here. I cant really tell but I feel like this chapter was longer, what do you think?? It kinda sucks though. Ughh I am terrible at this. However I do feel like I picked it up at the end what do you guys think? Whatever. I have a good plan for the future so hopefully chapter 3 will be better. I might try to post chapter 3 earlier than a sunday and have two to go with it. Any way, see ya hopefully sooner than next week. Bai
