Chapter 25

3 months after the hiatus

The front door slammed, jolting Jihoon awake. He stood up from the couch along with Hyunsuk who has been waiting with him impatiently for 3 hours already.

"Where the hell have you been?" Hyunsuk asked Haruto with an irritated tone.

"Like always, I was out." He shrugged and removed the hood of his jacket over his head.

"We told you to come home at 7 cause of our manager's instructions, it's almost 10 P.M.!"

"Calm down, I just didn't notice the time." Haruto glanced at Jihoon before walking towards the kitchen.

"Haruto, you're aware that what you're doing can affect not only your schedule but ours too right? For Pete's sake, can't you at least be a little sensitive with the situation right now?" Jihoon scolded him in a calm but stern manner.

Haruto just stared at him and clenched his jaw, as if he wanted to say something back. "Alright, I'll come home at the right time when I go out again." He grabbed a glass in the cupboard and poured himself some water.

"The next time this happens again you'll be guarded by our manager already." Hyunsuk walked away followed by Jihoon.

The two leaders entered Hyunsuk's room, pissed off with how Haruto has been acting lately. A little after Jihoon moved back to the dorm, Haruto has been going out a lot. There's no problem to that though, it's their break anyways. The problem is, he's usually out so early in the morning or late at night. Sometimes he doesn't even come home at all.

"I'm really annoyed with Haruto, does he think he can just go out whenever he wants because we're on our break? He's gonna get us in trouble with what he's doing." Hyunsuk pushes his hair back.

Jihoon chuckled. "Not that I'm siding with him but don't you remember that we had that phase as trainees too?"

"But I don't think we were like that. We would constantly ditch practices or come in late but not at ungodly hours."

"Yeah you've got a point."

"What if you follow him when he goes out again? Just to see where he's going?"

"Hyunsuk, I'm not a bodyguard." He glared at him.

"It's just for a while! After you see where he's gone you can come back here."

Jihoon sighed. "Fine but you owe me for this."

"Of course, of course, I'll buy you uhm a new phone case?"

He looked at him weirdly. "Seriously? You've got to be kidding me."

"Okay then uhm, the latest AirPods. I'll pre-order it."

"That's what I'm talking about." Jihoon smiled at patted him on the back.

It was 7am and thankfully Haruto didn't leave early in the morning again. Jihoon thought that when he woke up Haruto wouldn't be in sight but he was just eating some toast in the dining area while texting someone on the phone. Jihoon passed by him and took a glimpse of who he was talking to.

Hime. Hmm, seems like Haruto has a girlfriend now.

Now that he understands Haruto's situation, it seems pretty clear on why he needs to go out in such late hours of the night or early hours in the morning. If he goes out in the afternoon paparazzi would surely see him.
