Going Through The Phases Of Love

chapter one

When I was 2 years old I met a boy named Devlin. We were both children when we met each other him being three I don't exactly remember that long ago but when we were about 10 we played outside every day going to the park he even taught me how to ride a bike. "Kaylee" he would say "now I have told you this a thousand times push with your right and then your left." Now with me being as clumsy as I am that was nearly impossiable. So I told him I already knew how to ride a bike to avoid embarrassment I also said the bikes along side my house were my cousins to avoid questioning. He grew up to be the best bike rider I know today a whole 13 years later. Devlin no come over to my house every day taking note he is my neighbor and he would always do the same amount of rings on my doorbell and ask my mom if I could play. Unconsciously I began to fall in love with him little by little. Now granted I would say every time one of our friends mentioned it "eww gross no we are too good of friends" and we honestly are too good of friends to have a relationship why didn't I listen to myself... But I didn't and we well I fell in love with everything about him, his smile his laugh his smell just everything all of his flaws became perfect to me but that's what happens when you love someone right? Well little by little we began flirting with each other and making it more apparent that we had feelings I remember it like it was yesterday how we started dating we were both sitting next to each other and it was me him my friend tanner and Austin and Austin's friend Louis and we decided on playing truth or dare granted I was like 12 so it was an innocent game . I remember devlin saying I dare you to kiss me so I did and he got up and ran around mine and my next door neighbors house over and over and he kept coming back to me saying I missed which I quickly figured out he was meaning to. After all the other people left we did as we had always done and sat in my drive and talked except we decided to go sit in my neighbors yard and he suddenly said " I have to go" this was earlier than ussaul so I asked what his hurry was and he said "well I was hoping I could get a a good night kiss if I left " I said well you can get one of those anyways you don't have to leave so we kissed but he said he really did have to leave so he went on home and so did i. When I walked in the door I sat down to eat dinner and my aunt takes one look at me and says "you kissed him didnt you" well at he remark I blushed wildly after all she had always said since day 1 that we loved each other but I used to always denie it until now I admited her that yes in fact I did kiss him.
