When I woke up, someone was sitting at the edge of the bed. In a state of confusion, I rolled to my side and saw Uncle Ben gently smiling down at me. My heart stopped as all the blood in my body rushed to my head. I quickly sat up, ignoring the migraine that was attaching my head.

"Uncle Ben?" My voice came out in a soft whisper, as tears began to form in my eyes.

He kept his smile as he spoke, "Looks like you've been having  tough time Peter Pan."

My vision blurred as sobs started to sound from my mouth. "Uncle Ben!" I cried as I clung to the figure in desperation for it to be real. For that day to just be a nightmare.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed me to be. That will be something that I will always regret." Uncle Ben smiled sadly, as he ran his fingers through my hair.

I quickly shook my head in protest, "It wasn't you fault. It's mine, it was all mine! I'm sorry I let you down!" My whole body shook as my words came out in harsh gasps.

"Peter look at me," I snapped my head up and saw Uncle Ben with a blurry vision, "You were just a child. You had nothing to be sorry for. Nothing was your fault. I'm sorry everyone has failed you. Just, do better."

I sobbed into his arms and basked in the comfort it brought me. Unable to say anything or do anything else. My body wasn't responding in the way I wanted and couldn't stop crying.

"Peter?" A female voice called out.

Uncle Ben was gone and in his place stood MJ. Sweet MJ, who got killed for nothing. Did nothing wrong but got caught in the crossfire that was Spiderman.

"No, no, no, no, no." I shook my head as MJ frowned at the state I was in. Was this what death felt like? Everyone that you wrong would come back for you? Haunt you for eternity?

"Peter, it's okay." MJ spoke in a soft tone. She didn't move and stayed where she stood. Not making any effort to walk forward and pull me into a hug like she normally would. "I wouldn't change a single thing. It was worth it Peter. I'd do it again. Everything."

My sobs slowly came to a halt as  a just stared into her eyes. "I'm sorry. I'll do better." I spoke quietly.

She smiled down gently at me, "You already are, tiger."

I blinked and was alone once again. Everything was a dream. A Nightmare.
