Dear Diary,
I am not really sure how I found you, but I am kind of glad I did. I read the previous entries in you, the girl who owned you before had a lot of issues. Abandoning you like that, under a tree by the river. I'll never abandon you though because I have A LOT to write about.
To start: my name is Planchette, a weird name I know, and I am an orphan. My parents were great people, always laughing and caring until they abandoned me. But, I don't focus on that! I just focus on the good things about being an orphan. Like how everywhere you go is an adventure! Even if the people in those places don't like you or call you a bum. But! There are so many places you can explore and see. I've been all over the world, and always love to run.
I've seen the tops of hills and the bottoms of lakes. Walked down almost every road and saw every single tree. But something still feels... missing. But I am not sure what it is. Who cares though! Because I have a cool diary to write all my adventures in!
More about me: I am about 17, or at least I think I am. I lost count since I couldn't really celebrate a birthday without a family... or friends... or anyone else really. But! Now I do have a friend, which is you Mr. Journal. Or maybe you are a Miss Diary. Whatever you are, you are my friend. I am also kind of like a pirate, I always travel from place to place looking for a new adventure! Also because I have one eye. I lost my other one in a horrible sword fight with a swashbuckler!
And as a pirate, I need an adventure! Something to discover and explore! Ooh, I know! I am going to find that girl who owned you first. Because then maybe we can be friends too and be pirates together! She must be really lonely without her notebook. She didn't have a family either so we have that in common too!
I am not really sure where she would have gone through. Upstream, Downstream, North or South? Heck! She could have gone West for all we know! But I am determined to find her! Because she is going to be my friend and that way we can both not be lonely together!
There is a town not too far upstream that may be where she is heading. That is where I went when my mommy accidentally left me in a tree. We were playing hide and seek and I hid soo good that she forgot I was there and went home! Ahh, good ole' days! Before we go out looking for this mystery girl, we need to give you a name.. Hmmmmmm, I will call you Loxey! It sounds super piratey!
I hope like really really really hope Sofey likes me Loxey. She seems to be kind of like that girl who went missing from my town a year ago. She was also my friend. Well kind of, sorta, okay I didn't know her. But that doesn't mean we weren't still friends! We both loved to travel and explore our world! The sun is starting to set so I should probably start heading towards town. Maybe I will find Sofey on the way!
