Chapter 26: Popcorn
"Hey, what's going on here?" I asked as all the boys from One Direction and 5SOS looked at me. "Well after all the tour stuff we went over we invited the lads over to stay the night." Louis answered. "Oh."
I walked over and took a seat beside Liam on the couch. "Hey, what are we watching?" I asked and slung my arm around his shoulder. He acted strange. He seemed tense and wouldn't even look at me. "I think they're picking out a movie to watch." I kept looking at him but he wouldn't even glance at me. "Li what's wrong?" But he didn't say anything, just shrugged and I removed my arm.
I leaned back in my seat and felt hurt. That was really odd, especially for Liam. He's always talks to me even when he's in a bad mood.
I glance up, and looked at the boys gathered around the movies trying to pick one out. As they were talking, Luke looked over toward me and grinned showing him right dimple. He looked so cute today. He had on a grey beanie and a button up, unbuttoned over his blink-182 t-shirt. I smiled back at him, I just wanted to talk to him right now, but nobody knows about us but Harry. And I guess the 5sos boys.
Once they picked a movie and shut the lights off Niall said "where's the popcorn?", looking around frantically, almost in a panic. I shook my head at him "I'll go make it."
When I got in the kitchen I realized that I didn't know where the popcorn was. I've actually only lives here for maybe a month now, I'm not exactly sure how long it's been, but I still dont know where everything is.
As I looked through the cupboards I heard someone come into the room. When I shut the door I turned to face Luke. "Hey." I said. "Hi." He said in his deep Aussie accent. "You don't want to watch the movie?" "Nah, your far more interesting." Aw seriously he's the sweetest.
"Hey can you help me find the popcorn? I'm not really sure where it's at." "Yeah sure." I looked on one half of the kitchen while Luke looked on the other. All you could hear was the cupboard doors squeaking open and slamming shut. "Got anything?" He asked over his shoulder. "Nope." "Oh wait!" I exclaimed. "What?" "I think I see it, but I can't quite reach it." I said standing on my tip toes stretching my arm as far as it would go. The next thing I knew, was that Luke had his large hands firmly gripping my waist as he hoisted me up. As I suspected I was right. Why was all the popcorn on the top of the shelf in the back anyways?
Once I grabbed it I wrapped my free arm around Luke's neck, to help hold myself up. Now I was up higher than him. This is the first time I can actually say that I'm looking down at him. With in a second I lean down to his lips. This time the kiss was so much more needy than the last.
I got so into it that I hadn't even notice that I dropped the popcorn of the floor. Then I heard someone slam down a can on the island making us both jump apart, and Luke set me back down. "Hey guys." Harry said smirking. Me and Luke both stayed silent. "Luke can I have a word with Sydney." Harry said in his deep intimidating voice. "Yeah, sure." And Luke went back to the den with the others.
"Look Harry.." But I was cut off. "No Syd, hear me out. I like Luke. He's a good lad, but your brother is just in the other room." now I felt bad "I know." "Does he know about.." and he motioned toward Luke, I shook my head. "That's what I thought. Until you tell Lou I would keep the kissy face on a low." "Yeah ok." "Also you know how he gets when he's mad." "Oh believe me I know!"
He took a sip from his drink he had put on the island earlier, "so I take it the date went good?" And he smirked again. It's like he loves knowing everything, and always being right. "You could say that." I smiled. He leaned back and chuckled. "So are you guys...?" I shook my head "no." he nodded, getting what i was saying.
