—"You can't just kidnap someone and fly them across the bloody Pacific!"—

Elain bounced her leg up and down as she sat strapped to the quinjet. Her friend was still unconscious beside her, and she was currently flying across the ocean, away from everything she had ever known. She couldn't stand to just sit there for the rest of the trip. so she unbuckled her seatbelt and stood from her seat.

"So. tell me more about what I'm fighting against." Elain stood in front of the man who brought her here.

"His name is Loki, and he comes from the land of Asgard." He started.

"Asgard?"

Fury scratched his beard, trying to find a way to explain the situation to her. "He's not from here, from Earth. He's got two of my men under his control. If I'm being honest, I don't even understand how he does it."

Elain thought for a moment. "You said he wanted to take over the world. How do you suppose he's planning on doing that?"

"He's got this thing called the tesseract. It opened up a portal that brought him here, so I'm guessing hes going to open it up again to bring an army."

Elain sighed, knowing this situation was all too familiar. Its bloody Voldemort and the death eaters all over again. She asked him another question about who she would be working with.

He pulled out a file with pictures and information about a couple of people she had seen from the news and handed it to her. She opened it up and began reading about the people that she would be working with to help take this Loki character down.

She looked up and saw that Eleanor was stirring, probably about to wake up. She threw the file down and got up to sit next to her friend. "Where the hell am I?" She asked, voice still slurred from the sedatives Fury had given her. When she looked around and saw she was in the air, she began to freak out.

"Hey. Hey! Calm down, you're alright." Elain soothed the girl, who only pushed away from her.

"Dont make me sedate you again." Fury threatened from across the quinjet.

Eleanor stopped pushing, but stayed relatively away from the girl. "Who are you?" The words hurt Elain. She had betrayed Eleanor by not telling her who she truly was, but it wasn't like she was at liberty to divulge that information with her anyway.

"Im still me, okay? Just with a little something extra thrown in." She had to stop for a moment in order to find the right words. "Shield needs my help. I never meant for you to walk in when you did."

"Yeah well its not my fault you had a little recruiting party when you did. You weren't answering your phone, so I came by to see if you wanted to watch a bloody movie!" She spat, still angry. That was understandable, though, seeing as she was basically just abducted and was now being flown across the world.

"I know you're angry." Eleanor scoffed. That was an understatement of the century. "And I'm sorry!"

"If you're sorry, than let me go home."

Elain stammered, knowing she couldn't just turn the plane around and make them take her home, especially when she knew about her power. "I-I can't. Not until I know that you won't tell anyone about what happened."

Eleanor sat on her seat with her arms crossed. Her own friend abducted her and was taking her God knows where! She had the right to be angry, but she couldn't help but feel the sincerity coming from Elain's voice.

Eleanor didn't want to be mad, she has always been fascinated with the thought of magic, and when Thor came down last year, she was giddy for a long time. It was just a hard thing to grasp that a friend you were relatively close to for a long time was lying to you.

"How?" Was all Eleanor asked.

Elain was hesitant to open up about the wizarding world, mainly because the thought of going to Azkaban was looming above her head. "I was born this way..." Elain laughed at herself, knowing her friends would be laughing at her shyness right now if they were still around.

"Jesus, Elain! I- You can't just kidnap someone and fly them across the bloody Pacific Ocean!"

"It's actually the Atlantic." Fury corrected, not looking up from his electronic pad.

Eleanor looked at him dumbfounded, still radiating with anger, but knowing better than to talk back to the director of Shield. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down before she did something rash.

Elain was shocked that Eleanor had taken the fact that she was a witch so well, but with people like Stark and Captain Anerica, the world had to adjust to strange occurences happening everyday. "Elain," the girl started slowly. "I start my dream job on Monday. I can't exactly work across seas! You need to take me home." She begged.

Elain looked to Fury for help. "Look, we will work on getting you a ride back. but I'm sorry if we prioritize saving the world over you and your dream job." Eleanor hesitated, but knew that that was probably the best answer she was probably going to get.

She didn't want to be selfish, but to be fair, they did kidnap her! She had a right to be peeved off. Especially at Elain, who had lied to her and allowed her to be knocked out and dragged across the ocean.

Eleanor sat in silence as the quinjet continued it's route to New York. She had so many questions, but where does one begin when a situation like this is thrown in your face? It was clear that Director Fury was not in an explaining mood, and Elain looked like she was about to combust in her seat. As much as she wanted answers, it didnt look like she was going to get them any time soon.

Elain bit on her fingernails as she tried her hardest to control her metamorphmagus abilities under control. Her only friend found out about who she was, and was now upset. She was being flown across the world to help defeat another villian who thought he was better than everyone else, and she was probably looking at spending the rest of her life in Azkaban. Fun.

Elain scanned all the papers in the file she had been holding. She came across some pictures of a massive implosion. It was horrific, knowing that this man had enough power to cause destruction like this. Its not like she couldn't implode a building, it was just a matter of principle. Something that was so clearly lost in Loki's upbringing.

Apparantly, using whatever that blue thing was in the scepter, Loki was putting people under his control. Once again, Elain was getting serious Deja Vu.

Eleanor stayed quiet for the rest of the plane ride, but her mind was anything but. She glanced at Elain every once and while, wondering how she was able to keep this entire double life from her, from everyone!

As the quinjet touched down, Eleanor and Elain both couldn't help but wonder what this little "excursion" would entail for them.
