I slipped on my shades and glanced out the window of the passenger seat. I tried to soak in all the beauty that this one little town could have."It's pretty, isn't it?" My aunt spoke as we drove through the beautiful green scenery.
"It is," I took a breath in smelling the fresh clean air instead of the smell of cigarettes and fried food. "New York is so much different than over here." I said not taking my eyes off of all the nature. We drove into a driveway with a small white house with a barn in the back.
"Let's put your stuff in the house and I'll show you around." We grabbed my luggage and went inside. She showed me the spare room I'd be staying for my stay. It had baby blue walls with white carpet it looked like no one has even touched it everything was neat and shiny and brand new. she gave me a tour of the rest of the house and brought me outside to where the barn was.
"I don't have anything in here right now but later this week the animals I had bought are coming in." She smiled. She told me that when I was done looking around to come back inside then disappeared from around the barn.

Last night after I was done exploring my temporary home I put away my things and got ready for my first day at school.
I groaned as my alarm clock went off. I squinted my eyes so it would get adjusted to the sun light and got out of bed. I threw on black legging and an oversized sweatshirt with black vans. Even though it was 70 degrees outside I was still stuck with NYC weather. My aunt came in and smiled at me "Hey, you ready?" I nodded to answer her and grabbed my backpack. We finally arrived to school and she parked right in the front of the building. she got out and I followed right behind her. "I just have to register you and I'll be on my way." She said as we walked through the heavy double doors. We headed to the main office where a bunch of cute little old ladies worked. She signed me in and left soon after.
I was trying to find my class which was really difficult since this building was huge. I looked at each room number to see which one matched my schedule.
"Heads!" Someone screamed out from the distance.
I looked up to see a football spiraling towards my face. My head was telling me to move but my body just wouldn't budge. I shut my eyes waiting for the pain to hit. I heard it collide with something but it wasn't me. I opened my eyes to see a hand right in front of my face.
"I might've just saved your life." I faced the person who belonged to the hand. I smiled at him. He had dark hair that was in a quiff and his pale face was chiseled.
"Thanks." I said quietly and walked away.
"Wait," He yelled and caught up with me. "I'm Jacob." He held out his hand.I shook his hand. "I'm-" I was interrupted by the bell. "I'm late for class, sorry but I have to go." And quickly walked away before he could stop me.
I had finally found my classroom. I walked in and found the teacher. He was probably in his early 30s late 20.
"Hi I'm Ruby. I'm new." He cocked his eyebrow at me and folded his hands together.
"Schedule." He was really handsome for a teacher.
I place my schedule on his desk and he scanned through it and sighed.
"I don't understand why they don't tell me this sooner instead of doing it last minute." He wrote in his agenda and gave me my schedule back. "Take a seat wherever you like and I'll be starting the class soon, and welcome to calculus."
I took a seat in the back where I could go unnoticed. I took out out my notebook and waited for the class to start. At least 10 minutes in the class we were interrupted when the door swung open. The boy from the hallway walked in.
"Mr. Whitesides, aren't you a little I don't know, late?" He said without looking up at him.
"Mr. Andrews, I assure you that whatever I was doing it was for a good reasons." He spotted me in the classroom a winked at me.
"And what may that be?" The teacher replied.
"Well you see, I didn't think I'd get this far so hold on let me think of an excuse." He gave the teacher a smirk.
