                                                                  Y/N POV

                I was at the counter, staring exhaustedly at the obviously fake attractions that got Stan used as a money farm. As I started to re-count the amount of moths in the room, Stan walked in through the door, his great niece and nephew  following close behind, I perked up and studied them, they both looked to be about my age, the one on the right had long brown hair with a goofy smile and braces, she was also wearing a sweater... Huh weird. On the left was a guy who looked almost exactly like his sister, although he looked a bit less enthusiastic about staying here. The girl ran up to me and almost tackled me with a hug "Hi! I'm Mabel! I already know your gonna be my best friend this summer!" I smiled slightly "I'm Y/N" She pointed to her brother "That's my brother Dipstick-" The boy huffed slightly before cutting her off "Its Dipper, nice to meet you" He fidgeted with his hands a bit and smiled. I smiled back, not noticing his nervousness. Stan walked away, grumbling something about business. Mabel whispered something to her brother and giggled, whatever she said made him look like a tomato. 

                Stan walked back in and burped "All right, all right, look alive, people. I need someone to go hammer up these signs in the spooky part of the forest" Me, Dipper, and Mabel pretty much immediately yelled "Not it!" Soos looked up "Uh, also not it." Stan shook his head and sighed "No one asked you Soos." "I know, and I'm comfortable with that." He then took out a chocolate bar and started to eat it. "Wendy I need you to put up this sign." Wendy sighed and pretended to reach for the signs "I would, but I, ugh, can't, ugh, reach it, ugh..." Stan rolled his eyes "I'd fire all of you if I could. All right, let's make it... eenie, meenie, miney.. you." he points at dipper. Dipper looked up at him "Aw, what? Grunkle Stan, whenever I'm in those woods, I feel like I'm being watched." Stan slapped his forhead "Here we go again.." "I'm telling you, something weird is going on in this town. Just today, my mosquito bites spelled out 'BEWARE.' " Stan looked at his arm "That says 'BEWARB.'" Dipper scratched at the bites as Stan continued "Look, kid. The whole 'monsters in the forest' thing is just local legend, drummed up by guys like me to sell merch to guys like that." He then pointed at a tourist "So quit being so paranoid!" Dipper sighed "But Grunkle Stan!" Stan rolled his eyes "Fine then take Y/N with you, she knows the forests like the back of her hand" I looked up "What-?" He gave us the signs and pushed us out, slamming the door on us.

                                                                             Dippers POV

                  I rubbed the back of my neck while Y/N and I walked through the woods, occasionally putting up signs. "Uh so.." God why do I have to be so awkward around girls! "Do you live here..?" She looked at me with her bright E/C eyes, making me blush, hopefully she can't see it because of how dark it is. "Yeah, I live here with my parents, they don't go outside much so you probably won't meet them.. How long are you here for by the way?" She smiled at me, making me fumble over my words "I- Uh- Summer- Whole-" Idiot! Why can't you just talk like a normal person!? She tilted her head slightly before nodding "Oh ok." She handed me the nails and hammer as she took the signs out of my hands. I put a nail to the trunk of a tree and started to hit it, but that's when I heard a metallic noise, I knocked on the trunk slightly before wiping away dust, finding a small window, I opened it and saw a mechanical box with a few switches. Y/N looked over my shoulder "What did you find?" I blushed slightly and answered her. "Just some switches-" I flicked one, witch didn't do anything, then the other, which revealed a hole in the ground, revealing a book with a number 3 on it. "Woah.." I sat down and opened the book, Y/N waiting for me to read it. "It's hard to believe it's been six years since I began studying the strange and wondrous secrets of Gravity Falls, Oregon. "Unfortunately, my suspicions have been confirmed. I'm being watched. I must hide this book before he finds it. Remember: in Gravity Falls there is no one you can trust." Y/N paused and sat next to me " No one you can trust..." She looked at me "We should keep this a secret until we know what's going on" I nodded in agreement and put it into my vest. Mabel then jumped in front of us. "Hello!" I yelled slightly and jumped back, Y/N just seemed to flinch, odd.. The journal was peeking out of my vest, Mabel snatched it and giggled. "What are you reading some nerd thing?" I snatched it from her and put it back in my vest. "Its nothing!" Y/N nodded slightly. Mable laughed a bit. "Your really not gonna tell me?" Y/N fidgeted with her sleeves, aw.. Its adorable when she's nervous.. Wait what! Snap out of it Dipper! "Lets go somewhere more... Private." She said. I nodded and we started to walk back.
