You had always had anxiety, and dating a world famous detective didn't help with that.
L's identity was unknown and the thought of someone finding out even his name made your heart rate increase.
Not to mention when he dared Kira to try and kill him. God that man was going to kill you.
Back to the present, the Task Force is just getting ready for work when Misa runs down the stairs.
" Ryuzaki! It's (Y/N)! They're breathing heavily, crying and can't make out full sentences. They keep saying 'L'. They're in the bathroom hurry!" And just like that, L and the rest of Task Force had run up the stairs.
L ran and kicked down the bathroom door to see you hyperventilating and crying.
He quickly cupped your cheeks and looked into your eyes.
" Hey, (Y/N), look at me sweets." He says, fingers rubbing the sides of your face.
He wiped your tears and pulled you into his chest.
" Breath (Y/N), breath." You try to steady your breathing but to no avail.
" It's okay. In, and out. In, and out." He helps you steady your breath by a bit.
" Okay sweets, tell me 3 things you can see." L says and runs a hand through your hair.
" Y-You, Misa a-and M-Matsuda." You barely managed to say.
" Good. Now tell me three things you can touch." L smiled down at them as they continued to cry.
" Y-Your shirt, the f-floor, a-and my shirt s-sleeves." They say and take another deep breath.
" Okay, now tell me three things you can smell." L pushed you a bit closer to his chest.
" C-Cake, chocolate, and t-tea." You say and sniffle.
" Good, now breath in, breath out." He says and pats your head.
You close your eyes and try to focus on breathing.
" Are you okay (Y/N)?" Mr.Yagami asks.
You nod your head, trying to reassure them.
L asked if you and him could have a word alone.
They of course said yes and exited the bathroom.
" Sweets, would you like to talk about why you were upset?" He asks and wraps his arm around your shoulder.
" I-I had a dream t-that you were dead a-and when I woke up you weren't there, s-so that gave me quite a scare. I t-thought that K-Kira had gotten to you a-and I was horrified." You say and wipe your eyes.
L feels a tinge of guilt for leaving you by yourself. Had he really scared you that much?
" Sweets, I'm so sorry. I had no idea I was making you this worried and scared." He says and engulfed you in a hug.
He stroked your hair while whispering sweet nothings to you.
" (Y/N), I promise I'll never leave you alone. Ever." He says and gives you a kiss on the lips.
He lets a tear slip from his eye as he kissed you.
" L-L, promise me that you won't die on me. Even if I know you can't ensure it, please, promise me." You pleaded as you cried.
He nodded his head and wrapped his arm around your shoulder once more.
" I promise sweets."
