Chuck vs. The Sandworm Part 4

Chuck was in his room getting ready for his interview today. He was putting his tie on when you came into his room.

"Hey! You look handsome."

Chuck looked at you and tried to smile but it wasn't happening.

"Thanks. I feel like crap."

You looked at him concerned and went and stood close to him.

"We screwed up. We severely pooched the Lazslo situation last night."

Yeah... I know... It's been bothering me too... But today, you have a job interview." you said fixing his tie and patting it down.

"Y/N I can't even think about that right now." he said grabbing your hands gently. "Do you think I care about making lower management at a buy more?"

"Well no but.."

Then Sarah came walking in.

"Hey. Just came in to check on you guys. "

"Yeah well we are not the greatest right now Sarah." Chuck said going to sit on the bed, you right beside him. Sarah took a seat in front of you two. "We aided and abetted the escape of the next Ted Kacyzski, Sarah. I just... I can't believe that we were so wrong about that guy."

"No wonder you bugged our rooms. We're absolute idiots." you said.

" You know, just because you trust people, it doesn't make you an idiot." Sarah said looking at you.

"Yeah, well, we should've trusted you guys a little more. We're sorry" you added.

"Well, Casey got a signal on your car Chuck, and somehow the GPS got turned back on and Lazslo was heading east. So, I'll call you both from the road. And don't worry, we're going to bring him in, guys. Good luck today Chuck." Sarah said leaving you two in Chuck's room.

You watched Sarah leave then looked back at Chuck.

"Well...maybe we don't have to worry too much today. We know Sarah's got this."

Chuck nodded and smiled a little.

"Yeah. Yeah you're right."

"Of course I'm right." you said smirking a little.

Chuck let out a soft laugh.

"Now come on. Let's get you to work." you said getting up and sticking out your hand for Chuck to grab. Chuck looked at you and smiled, grabbing your hand as he stood up and you both walked out of the room, still holding hands.

You pulled up to the Buy More to drop off Chuck.

"Good luck in there Chuck. You're going to do amazing. Like you always do." you said turning to look at him.

"Thanks Y/NN." he said smiling. "I'll see you after work."

Just as Chuck was about to leave your car you quickly leaned over and kissed his cheek.

Chuck looked back at you with now a bigger smile on his face.

"What was that for?"

"For good luck." you said trying to hide your blush.

Chuck gave you a warm smile and got out of your car. After he left you sighed and drove a little ways down to park by your work.

While inside work, Chuck found the drawing that Lazslo gave him and flashed on it. Lazslo was going to the Santa Monica pier. Chuck quickly called you to meet him outside the Buy More which you agreed to do right away. He then proceeded to call Sarah.
