The next day, i woke up to loud noises downstairs. I looked down and saw many people moving our furniture away. I was curious so i went down to see what was going on.

I walked up towards my mother and asked,"Mom, are they moving the furniture to our house that we're gonna move into?"

"Nope, they're taking away our furniture in exchange for the loan we owe and it's because there will be people moving into our house tomorrow..." Mother replied, shaking her head.

"Then are we gonna buy new furniture when we move?" I asked.

"The house that we're moving into already has some furniture inside." Mother replied.

After that short conversation, i stood there with my parents and felt a slight pain piercing through my chest as i watched all the furniture getting removed.

Father asked," Mallory, did you pack your things already? We're leaving this place later."

"Yes, i did pack my things already. But I can't believe we're moving today, that's so fast. It's like they're kicking us out of our own home." I replied, feeling upset.

My mother and father just kept quiet as they already knew that this house doesn't belong to us anymore.

After a few hours, we finally left the house.

"I'm gonna miss this house, I hope the one we're moving into would be just as nice as this one." I said, while reminiscing about the time spent in that house.

"Where's our driver though? Why are we standing in the middle of the road?" I added on.

"We don't have our drivers, our cars, our personal chefs and everything else. From now on, we have to take the public transport, cook and buy our own meals and do the chores ourselves." Mom replied.

" What?! That's crazy! How do you expect me to live like this?" I shouted.

"You better watch that mouth of yours! It's about time you learn to become independent! I regret spoiling you as a child!" Father shouted and looked at me with bloodshot eyes.

I kept quiet and stopped complaining after that.

Is my life really going to change for the worse? I thought to myself as i held back my tears.
