Alex's POV
"We're playing prom, guys!" Julie said, bursting into the studio.
Prom... I thought.
I never really liked prom but it's for Julie and her school so I think it'll be fine.
Julie told us to wear something nice and that we were only going to play a couple songs until we were done and we could dance ourselves or just hangout. The problem was, I didn't have anyone to bring. I didn't want to ask Willie and make it all weird but then I thought, "What the heck?". I went to find Willie and I found him skateboarding around the museum.
"Hey, hotdog!" He said, bringing his skateboard to a stop. "What's up? You look a little nervous."
"Oh. Um..." I fiddled around with my fingers. I sat down and Willie sat next to me. I felt my cheeks flush. It almost felt like I was going to have an anxiety attack. I took a deep breath. In through your nose. Out through your mouth.
"Would..." I took another deep breath. "Would you come to prom... with me?" I let out a breath and looked down at my hands. "It's okay if you don't want to. I completely understand if you don't like that kinda thing. It's just we're playing with Julie and she said that we could dance afterwards and I just thought I'd invite you and-"
Willie put his pointed finger under my chin and brought my face to look at his.
"I'd love to go to prom with you, Alex." He said, smiling.
I let out another breath. "Okay." I smiled.
"It's Friday night at eight pm. In the gym."
"Okay. See you then." Willie smiled again.
"See you then." I smiled and then poofed out.
*time skip to prom night*
We played a couple songs and everyone loved it. Afterwards I looked for Willie in the crowd of people in the gym. And then I saw him. He looked so handsome in his tux and his hair pulled back into a low ponytail. I smiled as I made my way towards him.
"You guys were amazing." Willie said.
"You look amazing," I said, holding out my hand. "Wanna dance."
Willie giggled, taking my hand. "Of course. Although, I gotta warn you, I can't dance well."
"We can just hold each other a sway." I said, reassuring him.
We found a spot and I pulled Willie close. We gently leaned our foreheads together and swayed to the slow music.
"I love you so much." Willie whispered.
"I love you more." I whispered back.
"Not possible." He giggled.
Willie's giggle made me smile and I laid my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes and taking in the moment. He held me close and we continued to sway lightly to the soft, slow music playing. One by one, the students began to leave. The gym soon was close to empty.
"Can I take you home?" Willie whispered in my ear.
I nodded, lifting my head off his shoulder and looking into his eyes. We leaned in for a kiss and then left, my hand in his.
We walked down the close to empty streets of Hollywood, enjoying the night.
It started to get a bit chilly and I could feel Willie shivering. I took off my jacket and wrapped him in it, holding him close.
"Thanks, hotdog." He said.
"Of course. Thank you for coming to prom with me." I said.
"Anywhere and anytime I can be with you."
"Always."
I hoped you enjoyed this. I might make a part two because I feel like it. Thanks for reading!
