Gone Too Soon

Hinata sat on the balcony looking out at the ocean as the waves softly caressed the shore as if saying, "wake up baby I'm here". Hinata turned around and looked at the time, it was almost 3:00 AM, Kageyama would be waking up soon to go running. Hinata got up and went to get dressed, he loved running with Kags.

At 3:00 AM, Kageyama walked out of their bedroom and smiled as he watched Hinata tie his laces then stood up. Kageyama walked up to him and hugged him from behind, "good morning sunshine, I love you".

Hinata turned around and hugged Kageyama breathing in his scent, "Morning Tobio, I love you too. I love your touch, your smell, your everything. You're my world and I would be lost if you weren't here".

Kageyama looked down at Hinata, "why are you so morbid this morning, did something happen?"

"No, just promise to never leave me okay", Hinata looked up at him with despair in his eyes.

Kageyama smiled and kissed the top of his head, "I promise".

They ran for nearly two hours in comfortable silence, none of them speaking, but enjoying the other's presence. When they got back to their apartment, they took a shower together, with Kageyama washing Hinata's hair. Hinata loved the feeling of Kageyama's hands in his hair, he closed his eyes and enjoyed the sensation.

After showering Hinata went to make breakfast, while Kageyama went and laid in the bed. After breakfast was finished, Hinata yelled for Kageyama to come eat but he didn't show up. Hinata went into the bedroom and found Kageyama asleep. Hinata sighed, Kageyama had been very tired lately, he wasn't eating nor speaking much, but he slept a lot. Hinata made a mental note to get him to a doctor.

Just then his doorbell rang. Wondering who it could be at 5:30 AM, Hinata went and opened the door. He was both happy and shocked when he saw Daichi, Suga, Yamaguchi, Tanaka, Noya, Asahi and Tsukishima standing there. "Guys, what are you doing here? This is such a surprise".

Moving aside, Hinata invited them in. Suga looked at Hinata softly, "how are you doing Hinata?"

He looked at Suga strangely before answering, "I'm good, but I need to get Kags to the doctor. He's not eating", he points to the food still sitting on the dining table. He ran his hand through his hair and continued, "we ran for almost two hours this morning, when we came home he took a shower and went straight to sleep. I'm worried about him; I think he may be sick".

He looked at Suga with tears in his eyes, "I can't lose him Suga, I need him here with me".

Suga hugged the younger man tightly, "I know you do baby; I know you do". The others looked at each other but said nothing. Suga placed his hand on Hinata's chin and pulled his face up so he could look directly into Hinata's eyes, "Hinata, you have got to let him go, what you're doing is not healthy".

Confused, Hinata asked, "What are you talking about Suga?"

Sighing, Suga replied "Hinata, Kageyama died six months ago today. You do this every month. You have got to let him go and move on with your life. Kageyama would want you to".

Hinata's eyes got wide and he ran into the bedroom. When he got there Kageyama was not in the room, he ran around the apartment yelling his name looking for his love, but Kageyama was no where to be found. Crying loudly Hinata fell in front of Suga yelling, "What happened? Why did he leave me?"

Yamaguchi, Suga, and Noya went over and hugged the smaller man, their hearts breaking at his distress. They didn't know how to help him; they knew only time would heal his pain. Hinata cried for a while before falling asleep. The others put the food away and left him to sleep, hoping he would be okay when he awoke. Suga and Yamaguchi decided to stay with him to make sure he didn't hurt himself. Last month he had tried to drown himself in the bathtub, fortunately Tanaka had found him in time, and they rushed him to the hospital. They had gone through his apartment and removed pills, knives, and pulled the stopper out the bathtub. They needed to save Hinata from himself.
