Y/n's POV

I had just turned 6 years old when it happened. Mama and Papa were taking me to the toystore to buy me a new toy for my birthday, but they need to go to the bank first to withdraw some money. We went through a dark alley way, not knowing what awaited us. I was super excited, and ran ahead thinking we would be able to get to the toy store sooner if I did. Suddenly, I'm grabbed and something sharp was held to my throat. "Don't move, and we won't slice her pretty little head for right now." The man that was holding me said.

"Ok, we'll do anything, just don't hurt our little Y/n." Papa said. The look on Mama's face was one filled with sadness and fear.

"You owe us money, so give it to us or we'll shoot." Another man says, a click heard behind me.

"We don't have the money right now. We'll get it to you soon, just let Y/n go!" Mama cried out.

"Sorry, but we can't risk you going to the cops." Suddenly a loud noise is heard from behind me. Before I could register what happened, another is heard.

I watch as both my parents fall to the ground, blood coming from their heads. "Mama! Papa!" I cry, trying to escape the man's grip.

"What do we do with this annoying brat?" One of the men asks.

"We shoot her, what else would we do you idiot?" The other says. My eyes widen as I watch the man with the gun walk infront of me. He points the gun at my head. "This will only hurt for a moment."

I close my eyes, expecting death. I hear a gun shot, but I was still breathing. I open my eyes to see the man fall to the ground. The knife at my neck was also gone. "The other one got away." A man in blue says.

"Are you alright little one?" A woman in blue runs over and grabs one of my shoulders.

I couldn't answer her. My eyes were watering, and all I could say were Mama and Papa as I cried. "It will be alright. You'll find a good home."

I did find a new home a few weeks later. After they found out about my ability to use magic, the Magical Association took me in and I was put under Risei Kotomine. He taught me how to use water magic, as well as how to defend myself before having to leave a year later for the 4th Holy Grail War. Little did he know, I stowed away and secretly hid in the church, only being seen by the Archer servant.

"So you're the daughter of that priest? I didn't expect you to be this foolish, coming out here when your father said no." That was the first thing he said to me, saying it with an amused look on his face.

Even through everything I've been through, my emotions were still in tact. It wasn't until that night when I started blocking them off.

I stayed hidden, knowing that it was even more dangerous with the kidnapping of many children. I stayed this way, until I heard an all too familiar noise. A gun shot. I ran out of my hiding spot to the source of the shot, only to find my dead father. My eyes watered as I looked at the sight. "No... Not again..." I cried. Not only did I lose my real parents, but I lost my adoptive father.

When my brother found our father's corpse, I saw the look on his face. I could tell Kirei wanted to kill him himself, and I knew that he had spent a lot of time talking with Gilgamesh, but I didn't know if Gilgamesh was what caused this change in my brother. That is, until the night my brother was supposed to leave Fuyuki. That night, I had found out my brother never bought a ticket out of the city, and I instantly knew my brother was going to do something horrible. The next morning, I found out I was right. Kirei had killed Tohsaka that night and made a pact with Gilgamesh. I didn't approve of this, but I knew I could come out and say what was going on in my head. What I did know was that I couldn't become like my brother, so I locked away my emotions so I couldn't be manipulated.

After the Holy War, I met Rin Tohsaka. Even though I had promised myself that I wouldn't let my walls down for anyone, I eventually made an exception for her. I got to know her well enough to know that she would never manipulate or use me in anyway, so I let her know the real me.

Ten years after the 4th Holy War, I found out that I was to be a master in the 5th Holy War. Even though my brother insisted on getting me a relic for a powerful servant, I refused his offer and told him that I'd get my own all by myself. The time I was planning to summon my servant came, and I had come up empty. It was at that moment I remembered the spell book my parents left to me after they died. I used that book as my artifact. Little did I know that I wouldn't even remember becoming a master because of that book.

"Silver and iron to the origin. Gem and the archduke of contracts to the cornerstone. The ancestor is my great master Schweinorg. The alighted wind becomes a wall. The gates in the four directions close, coming from the crown, the three-forked road that leads to the kingdom circulate. Fill. Fill. Fill. Fill. Fill. Repeat every five times. Simply, shatter once filled. --------- I announce. Yourself is under me, my fate is in your sword. I accordance with the approach of the Holy Grail, if you abide by this feeling, this feeling, this reason, then answer. Here is my oath. I am the one who becomes all the good of the world of the dead. You, seven heavens clad in three words of power, arrive from the right of deterrence, O keeper of the balance ----------!" My servant appears from the summoning circle.

"You must be my master. I am the assassin servant." She says. Assassin had long white hair, her eyes were covered with sunglasses. Her skin was pale, and she wore a black, skin-tight dress that went down to her mid-thighs. Around her waist, a silver, snake like belt.

"My name is Y/n. What is your name, and why do I have this feeling I know you." I ask, walking over to her to examine her some more.

"I knew this would be trouble." Assassin says before taking off her glasses to reveal grey eyes. "You're too smart for your own good, my master. And therefore." Another copy of my spell book appears in her hands. "I must erase your memories of being a master, as well as conceal your command seals. Don't worry my master, I'll keep an eye on you from the shadows to keep you safe."

She says an incantation and my visions goes black.

Thank you for reading. I do have a few things to say about this remastered book. First off, as you recalled, I was thinking about how to remaster this, and gave you two options. Thanks to you, I decided to go with the second option, but then a thought came to mind. That leads to my second thing to say. Since I really wanted to use the first option to a degree, I decided it would be a shame not to use it at all and will be making one shots pulled out from the story I would have likely used for each version of the story.
