Sweet 16 Celebrations: Part 2

+Later In the Day- 3pm+

After several hours of shopping, the twins found some nice outfits they could wear to the party. Dipper's has grey pants with a blue unzipped jacket and a plain white shirt. Mabel's is a knee length magenta dress with grey leggings. The twins are now standing outside the main entrance, waiting for Soos to pick them up and drop them home before the party starts. Dipper checked his new watch to see that it had just ticked over to 4. He looked up again to see Soos' truck pull into the parking lot and stop in front of them.

"Hey dudes. How was the mall?" He asked
"It was super fun! Dipper and I got matching outfits for the party later!" Mabel replied enthusiastically.
"Yeah, I got this new watch as well. It's got a pine tree similar to the necklace Ford gave me." Dipper held up the watch for Soos to see. The watch's pine tree was the same design as the necklace, however it was in a silver color instead of the deep blue.
"Super cool dude!" Mabel began talking away at soos while dipper looked out the window lost in his thoughts.

~Dipper POV~

I stared out the window deep in thought, thinking about an encounter I had earlier that day.

Flashback

I was standing outside a Claire's store waiting for Mabel to finish up inside. I figured she would take a while so I decided to check out hot topic next door. I walked in and went towards the back where the t-shirts were. I looked up at the wall of displays and decided on getting one from Adventure Time. I picked up the shirt and walked to the cash register to pay when a yellow blur caught my eye.

In the corner by the windows was a boy, who seemed around my age was looking at me. In his hands were two items from some TV shows, I wasn't paying attention to them. He had yellowish blonde hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt with some design on it. His jeans were slightly ripped and a faded black. He was wearing yellow converse as well, that looked pretty new.

He noticed that I noticed him looking and smiled at me and winked. I smiled back and turned to the cashier to put money on the counter when I registered what happened.

He winked at me?

I turned back around to look at him again, but he was gone.

I wonder what that wink meant.

Back to the present

The car parked in front of the Mystery Shack as we got out. I still couldn't stop thinking about that boy. What did the wink mean? No stop it Dipper. It was just a friendly wink. He's just some stranger. I made my way into the old house and up into my room. I set down my bags and began to dig through what i'd bought today.

New watch, fancy party outfit, phone case, socks from Attic Salt, jeans from H&M, and the Adventure Time T-shirt. Just looking at that shirt makes me think of him.

"Dipper! Come help me put up the decorations!" I silently thanked Mabel for pulling me out of my thoughts as I put my newly bought items away in a drawer and went downstairs to help set up for the party.

We put blue and pink streamers up by the windows and blew up balloons to have scattered around the floor. Soos left to get some helium balloons from the dollar store while Mabel put out snacks and coolers filled with Pitt Cola, water, and YooHoos. (If you don't know what a YooHoo is you're missing out. I suggest you look up YooHoo chocolate milk and buy some right now.)

I, however, went upstairs to get the banner I designed. I grabbed some pushpins and the banner and went back down the stairs to hang it above the entrance to the kitchen. I pulled up a chair and placed both pins in the wall, then leaned back to check if it was level. Satisfied, I stepped down off the chair and pushed it back in to the table. Glancing at my watch I checked the time. 5:16. Oh crap that means only 45 minutes until the party!!
